"Wow. Very powerful plot. Excellent imagery. A few typos/grammatical errors but nothing major and easily cleaned up. Author has a real way with words and paints a picture for the reader that draws them in, putting them right in the middle of all that is happening, and leaving them eager to see what comes next. That is what a good story should do. Superb job. I look forward to reading what comes next."

Book 2 is more enjoyable
"I have to say the plot of book 2 didn't drag me in as much as book 1 but I think that because the author knows these characters well, they were able to deliver a better feel for this world overall. Let's see what happens next, beyond the walls. "

"In book 2 of the search for honor series Liv returns to the wall because she is dying of tuberculosis. She is hoping that if she reaches the wall and is able to survive through the disease she could liberate the dishonored in the city. The people in the wall though have different plans for her, as they recruit her and a village dweller that followed her to the wall, for a rebellion against the crown. Compared to the first book overall I felt that this novel was rushed and didn't have the time or care put into it as the first one did. While I would recommend it, it is more of a filler read that should have been a part of the first book more than anything. "
