Chapter 1

Elijah point of view

I always though of myself has an honest man, never cheated on my wife, work to get where I am, clean.

I though I escaped all of the evil surrounding my name by leaving London and coming to Seattle.

I founded my company with the help of my uncle, I married a beautiful wife, I can say that I have the perfect life…

Well at least I had…

“Mister Williamson” said my secretary

I turn my chair and look at her

“You have to meet the new associate in half and hour” she finished

“Okay thank you Laura” I responded

I got up, fixed my suit before leaving the office, I walked out of the building and went into my car.

“Good morning mister Williamson” said my chauffeur Mike

“Hey mike, I told you not to called me that way” I complain

Mike as been working for me for a while now. I’ve done a lot for me and I think we’ve been over the professional “line”

While he was driving, I was thinking about my wife: Amelia. In a week it is out one-year anniversary, I’ve been planning a little weekend getaway for the both of us. I really hope she like it. She really deserves it.

She was been there for me, when I needed it the most, I could never thank her enough.

“We are here, Mr. Will… Elijah” said Mike smiling at me through the mirror.

I thanked him and when inside the restaurant.

“Mister Williamson! how are you?” said the host of the restaurant

“Great as always how about you?” I replied

“Great! Same table as always?” he demanded

“Go that right” I said laughing “Thanks” I continued

I walked in the restaurant and sat at the table I usually sit one. I few minutes later the waiter brings me a glass of whiskey.

I was drinking it and reading my email, when I hear heels.

“Lady Maya” I said putting my phone down

When I got up and raise my head, I was suppressed but not shock.

“Mother” I corrected myself “what are you doing here” I ask sitting back down

“is that a way to say hello to your mother? I raise you better Elijah” she said

I got up and hug and kiss her

“Nice to see you mother” I corrected myself

“If only that was true” she replies

I exhaled with a lot of noise

“What are you doing here mother? I have an important meeting” I asked her with a neutral face

“I am your important meeting; this was the only way I had to finally get a chance to talk to you”

“You could have just called me” I declared

“You never answer when I called, you never come to family meetings, and don’t even wan to talk about the holidays!” she maintained

I huffed again.

“I am busy… and I can’t just come to London every week” I explained

“You know that flying is not a problem, stop making excuses” she recorded “Anyways I did not come her to remind you of how bad of a son you are” continued my mother

“Maybe it’s because of the family I have” I blurt out of anger

I close my eye to try to calm myself.

“How is you wife… Amelia?” she asks with a smile

I laughed “Like you really care about how she is?”

“Well of course I do” she replies once again with her British accent “She is the mother of my future grandchildren, who by the way I’m still waiting for…”

“Mother do go there” I mumbled “We will have children when we want to”

“Fine” she abdicated “Well I came her to inform you that we expect you at your father birthday Friday, the whole family will be there, promise you will come and I will not bother you… anymore…for a while.

“I will be there; we will be there” I finally said

Point of view of Amelia

4:47pm

Finally! I can go home, I was so tired, I just wanted to go home to my husband...

We’ve been married for almost a year, but I can’t help but smile when I hear his name.

I don’t know what I would do without him right now, I really need him in my life. But what I am afraid is that her mother will try to spread us apart. To sum it up, that woman hates me…

She thinks that I don’t deserve her son and that I will tarnish the family blood…

I tried my best to make her like me, for the least that I see her.

I was in the car when I suddenly realized we were not going on the way home.

“John? Where are we going?”

“Madame Katrina ask me to take you to her… I’m sorry I though you knew “he explains

“oh... right” I reply confused “Its fine”

What does she want with me?

When we arrived, I walked into a hotel lobby, she usually comes to this hotel when she come to Seattle.

I ask to the host where I could find her and she pointed behind me. When I turned around, I jump scare.

“Miss Williamson?”

I nodded

“Follow me please” he demanded

He took me into a suit and there she was, drinking her tea and watching tv.

“Ah Amelia, please come, sit”

I when next to her and try to kiss her but she avoided me.

“How are you?” she asks it seemed almost honest

“Fine and you” I reply

“Good” she started “Look, I don’t like you.”

Well that was direct…

“And you don’t like me either” she continued “Don’t even try to say otherwise” she added before I could open my mouth “But we are family… and I care about my family, so I wan us to try and get along”

“I would love that” I reply smiling and relived, it seemed to good to be true

“For that to happen, I need you to help me” she requested

“I want you to help me bring Elijah back to London, so he can take the lead of the family company” she said “Elijah is the most fitted to rule the company… Noah is well Noah he is too young”

Noah is Elijah little brother, he is the life of the party, she sends his life partying…

“And Oliver I don’t think he is fitted although he was supposed to be the heir…”

Oliver is the older brother, he just doesn’t seem trust worthy to me… I was always scared of him.

“If there is Lauryn but… well you know she is a woman, she will take the name of her husband and the Williamson line need to continues owning this company!” she stayed silent for a moment

“All that to say, there is only one-way Elijah would have to come back to London, and it is if you are with child…”
