One... Two... Three... adrenaline pumping, my heart is beating out of my chest, I just need to breathe just breathe I can do it. It's been a couple of minutes since my group had gone into that strange rugged building, but why am I still out here, shouldn't I be in there with them? I could hear strange music playing around me, but it wasn't the kind of music that you would want to dance to. Chills ran up my spine as the music grew louder and louder, but every turn I made all I could see with the dark foggy sky, what in the world was going on? Let's pause... Rewind... let's go back to the beginning where life was actually normal, well sort of. My name's Tracy Fuller the only daughter and family member to world famous detective Liam Fuller, not trying to brag or anything but it's awesome to have a detective as a dad!! All of the time it's just the two of us so he takes this opportunity to give me a few tips and pointers about being a good detective, which of course is my future goal as an adult. I've been homeschooled since I was able to speak, it's was my father's doing since he was a detective he wanted to do everything possible to keep me protected which meant never leaving me alone in a strange place. I mean I totally agree with his decisions, why would I want to be involved in a place full of snobby, obnoxious teens. Life was perfect in my point-of- view, until it was time for dinner. I could tell that my dad really wanted to tell me something, but somehow he couldn't get it out he kept fidgeting with his fingers and fiddling with the food on his plate." Um, do you want to tell me something?" I asked eager to hear what he was so anxious to tell me about.
" Well, you know that I've been talking about a mission that I was going to be a part of?" I nodded at his words and gave him a big smile, he's been so excited about it ever since. " It requires me to stay on base for at least a week, which means that you can't stay here during that time," before I could interrupt he held up his hand to show that he was still speaking. " I've enrolled you in Hometown high, and you will be staying with your aunt Nancy," just when he said that my world fell apart into millions of pieces, High school?
"Wait, did you say aunt? I thought you said you were an only child? And that I was your only family member, and what about this high school business?" I said in anger with my arms crossed.
"Actually she's your mom's sister, I never came in contact with her ever since your mother's passing. But as of now I had no choice, of course she agreed since she never actually met you," he said trying to make me understand the situation, but I continued to stay silent I mean how could he keep such a big secret like this. " Luckily, the school is not too far from her house so whenever you need help she'll just be a block away, and the school has agreed not to hold you back, so you can stay with your junior buddies!"he said in an excited tone, but his smile faded when he saw my expression I mean was he out of his mind. I got up from the table and walked in the direction of my room trying not to shed any tears" Oh, and school starts tomorrow you'll do great kiddo!!" I slammed my room door showing that I was not pleased, great just great my life of luxury was over. This mission must be pretty important for him to be sending me to the teenage jail called high school, he promised that it would never get to this point but promises can't always be kept I guess. I couldn't stay mad at my dad forever though, I just needed to brave through the first day of high school for him and for my mother. He really needed me to understand the situation, so I decided to get prepared for what the next day was going to hold. It was too late for me to apologize, so I decided to wait till morning. As I slayed in bed, I thought about how school actually was. What was going to happen? Is this a permanent situation? Why can't I continue homeschool if i'm staying with my aunt? I was so confused but I decided not to question my father's decisions, he always knows what's best for me.
