Summary

In the year 3693 the Earth has been taken over by a race of aliens, the last of the humans call them Regonals. Most of the human race left Earth once they found life and a planet that they could live on. The last humans on Earth have been hunted by the Regonals, and have went into hiding. They continued to hide until a stranger found them. He wasn't like the Regonals, in more ways than one. This stranger was more human looking but had three major differences. One; he has huge black feathered wings, two; his eyes were ice blue and seemed to hold only sadness, three; he lived a longer life. He was the last of his species, and came to Earth to help the humans there. After years of helping them, he suddenly disappeared. The humans looked and looked for him as much as possible, but after a few years fewer and fewer did. Then Zena Hickman was born. As she grew hearing stories about the Earth's savor, she wanted to meat him. At the age of nineteen, Zena was attacked by a group of Regonals. Unable to defend herself, she didn't know what to do. Luckily, a stranger showed up just in time to save her. And, just by looking him, she new exactly who had saved her. After that meeting their lives continued to entwine, always bumping into each other.

Prologue

“In the beginning, over a hundred years ago, Earth was at peace.

Most every country got along or at least worked together, and humans thrived. At this time, most people knew about life that lived beyond us, but some still had a hard time believing. Still the world went on. Families gathered together at the end of the day and all was peaceful.

Then like a switch had been flipped, everything turned to chaos and destruction. A race of alien, we now call the Regonals descended on the Earth as cities and towns were bombed and destroyed. Killing most of the human population in a day, some even say it took them just a few hours.

The humans that escaped the destruction of the cities and towns were rounded up and taken as what could only be described as slaves. Those who managed to avoid the Regonals during any of this chaos went into hiding, and years later they started to train and make plans to go against the high powered technology of the Regonals. These attacks did little to the Regonals, but led to even more people losing their lives.

But when the humans thought all was lost, a stranger came.”

“Who was it Mommy?” a young girl with dark brown -- almost black -- hair asked.

“He was someone no one had ever seen before. With large black wings that shimmered blue in the sunlight, icey eyes that held nothing but rage, and hair as dark as the evening sky. With his two swords he killed a group of Regonals who were attacking a colony of humans. No one knows who he is or what he is, all they knew was that he was there to help them.

A few years went by and the same thing happened again and again, other colonies were being rescued. Everyone was thankful and soon the stranger was being called Earth’s savior. But as things seemed to be turning around for humans, he just disappeared. No trace of him was found anywhere.

And to this day the mystery about this being still remains: who is he and where did he go?” Mother ended the story, leaving the heavy questions lingering in the air.

“Do you think he will ever come back Momma?” the girl asked as her father tucked her into bed.

“You never know sweet heart, anything can happen,” her mother said before kissing her daughter's head and saying, “Goodnight, Zena.”

“Goodnight Mommy. Goodnight Daddy,” Zena said in turn.

“Goodnight Zena,” her dad said in a low tired voice. He kissed her head and left her small bedroom alongside her mother.

‘I hope I will meet the Earth’s savior one day,’ Zena thought before drifting off to sleep, dreaming of the man that she hopes to meet someday.
