Whenever you go to sleep, you have two options. Either you “just” sleep and wake up and have the same boring, colorless day you have every day. But first, you have your routine when you go to bed. You close your eyes, you see nothing, fall asleep and wake up to the same dull, grey world as every day before.
Or you can follow Cassandra, Queen of Dreams. She can guide you past crystal-clear oceans, enormous waterfalls, ancient forests, large castles and landscapes of other worlds. You will close your eyes and an explosion of colors will appear before your eyes as Cassandra appears in her starry gown and smiles at you. She will greet you with a courtesy, as she always does, and smirk. Impatient for your next adventure. Quickly you will get up from you uncomfortable bed and you will step out of the grey and dull world you live in.
Here we go.

Inhale.
Exhale.
Let your story begin.
You are ready.
Slowly the music rises.
Grace follows wherever Cassandra goes, all the days of her life. Grace and passion. Fearsome passion, burning like a fire out her deep eyes which still behold the wonder of the creation of the first adventure of the first dream. Her bouncing, autumn, flaming red hair smells like roses and her smile is like the first day of Spring. Her voice is soft like a summer breeze. But do not upset her, for she will grow cold like winter and is difficult to unfreeze.
Together with Cassandra you can have all the adventures you ever wanted. You do not have to doubt. There is not one single reason why you should doubt yourself. For Cassandra believes in you. She knows you can do it. She has brought you to those people, because you are their savior. They have been waiting ever so long for you to arrive. Waiting in pain. Waiting in darkness. Waiting without sunlight. Without hope. Without a reason to go on. Desperately trapped, without any chances of being saved. But then you arrive. With your weapon firmly in your hand. Cassandra by your side. The people’s hearts are lifted. Smiles show on their faces again. Finally! Hope has returned at last. They will rejoice and sing once more.
You can be the King of your land, or the Queen of your realm. You can cross the seven seas, or dig through the layers of the Earth. You might travel to stars, or stop them from falling. You can fly dragons, wield swords, ride a Hippogriff or defeat a minotaur. Or do all in one day!
You can be who you want.
You can see who you want.
You can become the hero you admired when you were young.
You are the hero!
All you have to do is take her hand and follow her through time and space. To the place she knows you belong. To the place where your fears are slayed and your victory is celebrated with a feast that lasts a month. With music. Wine. Laughter.
This might all seem to be too good to be true. But every word of this is true. Some people forget Cassandra as they grow older. They say it is a fairytale. They say she does not exist. But the truth is they have grown scared. Afraid of the unknown. Afraid of pain. Afraid of death. Afraid of adventures. Who are they, to achieve great things? Who are they to be the savior? Who are they to do any of those things or go to any of those places?
Never believe those people. They have lost their colors. They have failed their people. They have lost Cassandra and therefore are lost themselves. But if you believe in yourself and if you can still see the colors – you are the hero!
Dwarfs. Elves. Mighty warrior and gods. All will come to your bidding and follow you into your battle. You will slay ogres, giants and evil creatures from the underworld. Nothing is impossible. All you have to do is trust in yourself and go the extra mile. Go the path, Cassandra has set out for you. The path you were born to go. Go through the Dark Forest. Cross the Ocean of Mischief. Slay the Nightmare. Pull the sword out of the stone. Break the curse. And be that hero the people need. Be crowned the golden crown. The celebrated hero who’s name will never be forgotten. Who’s great story will be sung by a thousand voices.
Do not fear to be awake. For you need to regain your strengths. Your strengths for the next adventure you will have tonight.
Cassandra will wait for you.
