Chapter 1
"Whats your name?" I hear a male voice saying but its distant, out of reach.
"Laylani Welington" I hear another voice saying. surprisingly my own. sounds hurt, scared, dry.
"what happened?" the man asked. then that voice came back.
"I dont know... I dont know." After that everything went black.
I woke up. hoping that it all was a dream.
But it wasn't.
I heard the faint sounds of a heart monitor beeping. Indicating that I was in the hospital.
My eyes were closed, but I knew someone was watching me. I felt a hand in mine. they squeezed so I squeezed back.
"Your awake." A familiar voice said to me.
But when I opened my eyes, the person standing in front of me was a complete stranger. A part of me felt some sort of connection to me, but I dont know what it is.
"Glad your awake sis." The stranger said as he squeezed me into an affectionate hug. I wanted to hug him back but everything in my body willed me to keep my arms to my side. He then noticed my body tensing and let go.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"im your twin bro-" He stopped when I raised an eye brow at him, slightly in disbelief. "Im just going to get mom and dad, tell them to get the doctor. It seems like you hit your head harder then they said." Walking out of the room scratching his head.
When he walked out of the room I started to remember some things about him but only in snippets. It frustrates me that i couldn't remember who he was. I couldn't even remember his name.
"Who the hell is he." I found myself yelling.
The mumbling I heard outside stopped and people came rushing in. They looked familiar but I dont know where I've seen these people before. I didnt have the slightest idea as to who these people are.
"hey princess" said a smiling man. Who im assuming is my father. This man was tall and built. Had broad shoulders and a very strong dominant demeanor. His face strong and almost intimidating. Facial features that matched the one who called himself my twin brother. But his eyes.. his eyes seemed sad and lost. Almost that of a lost puppy.
The lost puppy began to approach me until he noticed that I wasn't showing the same kind of affection and happiness he presented when seeing me.
We sat in an awkward silence. Seconds turned into minutes. Minutes could have turned into hours, but minutes later the police came in.
"Cant we do this later?" My supposed mother asked.
"we need to do this now. someone is still missing." said a police officer
