Visions
A green beam shot across the night sky and collided with a mountain in the near distance. Sawrll thought it was just another shooting star. But then the mountain collapsed, followed by an earthquake.
The tower that Sawrll was in shook violently and glass began to fall from its place. The balcony at the top of the tower broke off and fell towards the river below. But the water was gone. A large cloud had appeared where the mountain once was. And it was growing rapidly. The ground began to part ways at the bottom of the tower, letting lava seep through the cracks.
The tower's supports were destroyed, causing it to fall towards the lava field below. There was a city nearby, Sawrll was dreading to think what was happening there. His family inside the tower with him died on impact with the ground. The lava poured into the building through the broken windows and the molten liquid began to rise like a flood. Sawrll attempted to climb out of the window. His leg was caught on fire just before he fell through the remaining glass, burning it severely.
The fire stopped at his hip, luckily, and he could still run. The tower slid off the hill and into the lake of lava, never to be seen again. Sawrll looked up at the night sky and noticed a grey ring, connected to a circle. A new moon. The air was now thick and ash was filling the atmosphere. Rocks had been flung into orbit and the cloud had now disappeared. Sawrll began to march towards the mountain, now covered in dust and his hair was no longer slicked back and formal, it was scruffy and his life had just become hell.
His family was one of the wealthiest in the galaxy, and they looked the part. The Emperor often invited Sawrll's father to meetings. The people of Traldorr were not happy with Sawrll's father, to say the least. The Empire was making plans with the planet and its inhabitants, secretly.
Traldorr was a lovely planet, with lush forests and pale blue rivers. The sand on the beaches was white, the mountains were covered in snow and the sky was never cloudy. But half of the planet had just gone black. The city near the tower was deserted within weeks. The Empire soon moved in and began to turn the planet into one, big mine. Traldorr was known for having caves full of Kyber crystals. Chunks of the planet were decaying over time since the core was damaged during the explosion three weeks prior. There was now a red zone and a green zone on Traldorr.
The green zone was capable of preserving life and people mostly lived there now.
But the red zone was where the mountain came crashing down. The red zone had no breathable air, now. The Empire used masks to breathe and every soldier was fitted with an oxygen filter.
From space it looked as if half of the planet was missing, but it was still very much there. The red zone was so dark it was impossible to see, now. Once you entered, it almost felt like you weren't on the planet at all. Any remaining structures in the red zone were knocked down. The Empire carved away the surface of the planet and finished mining there within a year.
Sawrll knew the Empire was behind the destruction of his home. But he didn't know how they did it. After a year and a few months, the ash had vanished from the atmosphere and the red zone could be lived in now. The terms 'red zone' and 'green zone' were taken away but the Empire was still occupying the flat side of the planet.
One day, in the winter of Traldorr, a group of slave miners found a sheet of molten rock. Sawrll was part of the group. He was ripping his home apart for reasons the Empire never explained.
The miners began to smash the molten rock apart, digging deep into the ground. Gtrao was a Sullustan, but he was a brute. He broke through the rocks and dirty water spilled out into the open.
"Hey! I found water!" He yelled. The group ran over and began to help rip the obsidian away with their tools. The water dripped through
