The Stage:
Prologue:
A knock on the door, the large man behind the desk looks up from his open file….
“Enter!” He says briskly, closing the file as the door opens.
A Female officer smartly walks in with a pile of reports.
“The monthly case expenses, as requested, sir.”
Her superior groans…
“Just place them on that table behind me, I really hate month ends!”
She smiles and walks past him, not helping herself, she looks at the closed file on his desk, reading the one word typed on it….

Chapter 1
The Stage:
A Midsummers Late afternoon ‘Formal wedding Reception’
Carmarthenshire, Aberglasney Manor House and Gardens
The scene opens upon:
A bar set up on the great lawn just at the bottom of the Aberglasney Manor House’s main marble staircase.
Well-dressed guests are mingling about the lawn, drinks in hand. The upper crust ladies present are displaying their jewels like so many strutting peacocks showing off their colourful finery.
The men are dressed in tux, a few with Scottish kilts, and oddity in this part of Wales.
A man, wearing a crisp black tuxedo(no kilt) is standing there in the midst of all this.
Taking slowly measured sips of an amber coloured old fashion cocktail.
He has a neatly trimmed Saxon style cut beard, containing both brown and red flecks of hair. From his mouth a curved, sensibly sized pipe dangles, smoke coming out in small thoughtful white puffs.
Suddenly his ever-watchful hazel coloured eyes stop dead, he is looking up at the top of the marble stairway.
Without breaking his gaze, he casually removes his pipe and thoughtfully knocks loose the smouldering ashes against the heel of a polished black calfskin leather pointed toe shoe.
“What have we here?” he thinks to himself with quiet contemplation as he, with a free hand, adjusts his waistcoat.
As he is mulling this, he is suddenly bumped from behind!
