~Avani POV~

“You’re cute” The girl said as she touched my cheek. I immediately turn red and reply. “T-thank you....you’re not so bad yourself” while smiling. The girl started to leaned in more, and we were inches away from each other. “Oh so... I guess you’re a flirt huh” The girl whisper in my ear. I chuckled a little. “I wouldn’t say that” I said as I rub the back of my neck. “Then what would you called yourself?” The girl question as she grin. I thought about it and then a evil grin appear on my face. “Daddy” I whisper back in her ear. “Oh so you are a flirt huh” The girl said. The girl had freckles all on her cheek. I wanted to know her name. What’s you’re name?” I question.

The girl eyes sparkle and she let go of my cheek. “Charli yours?” That a nice name. I think I zoned out for a few cause Charli started to wave her hand in my face. “Hey what your name?” She said as she place her hands on her hip. I shook my head and reply. “Avani” “Nice name but I think it’s time for you to wake up” Charli said smiling. “What are you-“ I tried to say but I woke up to a loud alarm. I looked around and I was back in my room. I groaned and got out of bed. I stretched my arms,legs and walked to the bathroom. *Ring Ring* I groaned and went to get my phone from my drawer.

My best friend Amelie was calling. “What!?” I barked while rubbed my eye. “Hey Avani!” She yelled through the phone. “Lower your voice” I said irritated. “Sorry but have you heard about the two new students?!” She said while munching on something. “No I have not” I said while walking to the bathroom to brush my teeth. “Well I heard they are very hot” I side-eye the phone like she could see my face expression. “Ok and???” I question while putting toothpaste on my toothbrush. “One is close to your age so you can date her” she said munching very loud. “I dogtc Carte” I said still brushing teeth. “Okay well...I will hang up rn so...see you at school” Amelie said hanging up. I groaned and finish brushing my teeth. I didn’t take a shower cause I didn’t want to. Don’t call me dirty cause it’s a part of me for fuck sake...I’M A FUCKING DOG.

I quickly put on a red hoodie and black ripped pants. I put my white vans on and grab my bracelet. I always wear my bracelet everywhere I go cause it’s was a present from.....my mom. I sigh and grab my stuff for school. I quietly walk downstairs so I don’t wake up my drunk dad. As soon I walk past him, he immediately woke up. “WhErE fUcK yOu GoInG!” He shouted sobering on his words. “School dad” I said as I walk to the door. Lately my dad been like that ever since my....mom died. “Bye dad” I whisper while walking out the door. I took a deep breath of the fresh air and it smelt like...a wet dog. Smells good. My dad usually take me to school but since he been getting drunk...I walk to school for now on. *Ring Ring* I grab my phone from my back and check who it was from. Amelie.

I answer the call. “What Amelie?” I question getting closer to the school. “Are you here yet!?” She groaned. “Almost just a couple more steps” I said rubbing my eyes again. “Oh okay..love you❤️” she said hangin up. “Love you too” I whisper while smiling. I turn my phone off and put it back in my pocket. I looked back around and there it was the one and only Maywood Fall High. As I walked closer, I could see a big crowd standing around two girls I have never seen before.

I squinted my eyes and I could see a tall brunette girl with brown eyes and she looked angry. But at the smaller brunette girl she was smiling and she also had freckles. The smaller brunette looked very familiar to someone but I don’t know who. I shrugged my shoulder and continue to walk. I walked past the crowd and me and the smaller brunette made eye contact. She smiled and waved at me. I slowly smiled at her and walked to my class.

AFTER CLASS

“AVANI” someone shouted from behind me. I turned around and they quickly hugged me. It was Amelie. “Can you sit next to me at lunch?” She ask knowing I always sit next to her. “You do realized I always sit next to you?” I said. “Yea I know” she said letting go of me. I face palm my head and shook my head. “Cmon let’s go to lunch” I said turning to the directions of the cafeteria. Amelie followed right behind me. I quickly got bored so I zoned out thinking about my dream this morning.

Why the hell would I dream about that!? I was zoned out that I bumped into someone, making them fall. “I’m so sorry” I said bending down to help them. “It’s fine...I just hit my head to hard on you” She said as she looked at me. It’s was the girl from this morning. She had freckles on her cheek and her eyes sparkle. I just stared at her until someone lifted her up. “You’re not supposed to be talking to her Charli” the other brunette said. WAIT DID SHE SAY CHARLI! I shooked my head. They’re so many Charli in this world that could of been in my dream.

But she looked just like her. “I know Dixie but...she bumped into me“ the smaller brunette said. “But still...she is a dog...and you’re a cat” the taller girl said. The shorter girl nodded her head. She looked at me and then smiled. My heart started beating 10 times faster then before. I quickly got up and Amelie whisper in my ear. “Someone in love” while laughing. “I’m not” I snapped back while blushing. “Ok whatever” she said going back on her phone. “Beside she a cat...I’m a dog” I said touching my fangs. “Let’s go to lunch” I said while walking to the cafeteria. Amelie cheered.

AFTER SCHOOL

I groaned. “Finally!” I cheered while walking out of class. I walked down the hallways and I could see someone getting beat up by “The Barks”. The Barks are a group of people that beat up dogs if they talked to a pussies/cats. I sigh and walked past until someone called me. “Yo VANI COME GET A PUNCH IN” a guy shouted. I turned to their direction and walked over to them. I could see the boy bleeding out of nose and his eyes purple from the punches. I looked at him and a tear fell from his eye. “Please” he mouthed.”Guys I’m not going to punch him” I said while turning around.

One of the guys grab my shoulder and said “Where the fuck do you think you’re going?” while laughing. “Home dumbass” I said grabbing his arm and taking it off my shoulder. He grab my shoulder and turn me around and punch me in the stomach. Shit! Blood started to come out of my mouth. “Aww look at this the little bitch throwing up blood...like her mother” he said laughing. I got angry at what he said and sock him in his jaw. “Don’t you dare talk about my mother like that!” I barked at him while wiping the blood from my mouth.

I gave the others a glare and they went to go help the leader on the ground. “You okay?” I said to the boy that got beaten up. He nodded his head. “Good” as soon as I said that...everything went black. “HEY ARE YOU ALRIGHT” someone one shouted while running towards me. I could only open my eyes a little and I could see....Charli bending down in front of me. “SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE” she shouted while turning back to me. “ITS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT OKAY?” She said while putting me on her lap.
