Myself
Look at my hair,
And my face,
Some would disregard it,
But doesn't hurt me,
Because I love myself.
I love the flaws on my body,
The same flaws which are my strength,
What made me how I am today?
I love how I look in the mirror and see me.
No, I can't rub it off my face,
Nor do I want to.
I love my long thick kinky hair,
And my dark eyes,
My board noses,
My stretch marks on my thighs,
Which reminds of zebra,
The little tummy I have from eating too much,
Or my medium height.
I was born this way,
At first, I may have my doubts,
I care to love myself,
To know that I can come something so beautiful.
And the struggles the ancestors went through,
I hope to change the world positively,
So I begin with loving myself,
And caring for myself.
Will, you do same too,
And love yourself.
