Old acquaintances

Diana and Lea were not new faces at the Black 'N Red. Sort of habitual clients, especially in the privee area.

So, nobody was surprised to see them arrive early when the place was still closed to customers, and only staff were working behind closed doors.

Dumbfounding was instead seeing them skipping the entry check at the counter - Teeth was not happy about that - and going straight to the mezzanine, where Daemon was supervising the evening preparations while sipping his usual martini cocktail with olive.

Fox ran behind them, trying to stop them, but it looked quite difficult.

"I'm sorry Master, they have not been introduced..."

"It's fine. No worries," Daemon said, just lifting his eyes from the delivery documents he was checking.

"There must be a reason for such hurry. Please, bring something for our - how can I call you, he said looking at the two young ladies... - Guests"

What Fox found most alarming was that "please".

Daemon never said please to anyone. He didn't need it.

He must not be pleased at all with such an intrusion.

"Do you have a dungeon?", Diana asked as she could not wait any longer

"Excuse me?" Daemon replied with a tone that sounded like how dare you speak to me like this among the lines.

The message seemed to be evidently caught as Diana calmed her rushing, "We were wondering if you own a dungeon. I know there are some of them in the city, but reaching those inner circles seems to be impossible"

"They are indeed quite reserved circles, I'm afraid", Daemon replied, sipping his cocktail, "and I do wonder if both of you have any idea of what you are looking for"

"We need to find a dungeon, we want to be part of it", Lea said, quite impulsively, as per her habit.

Daemon burst into a laugh, "Sure, maybe you can get a membership". Then, after a sip from his glass, "it's not that easy, I'm afraid"

"If not you, who can we ask?", Fox heard Diana ask again, trying to get to the point, while he brought two drinks on a silver tray.

Again, Daemon raised his eyebrow, and Fox knew that meant he was not pleased by the girls' behaviour

"I never said I'm not that person", he said, then, after emptying his glass, "Leave Teeth your contacts on leaving, someone will get in touch"

"But..." was the only word the two girls had time to say

"You're welcome. Have a nice day", Daemon concluded, going back to his documents

There was no chance to say anything else. They left, quietly.

"Bring me the cordless", he said to Fox. It's time for Panther to meet an old friend and learn something new"

"Any specific instruction, Master?"

"Do you like hard rock, Fox?"

"Pretty much, Master, why?"

"Find me Poison in our the music archive and put it through the speakers"

"Of course", he replied, a bit puzzled. Then, like realising, "Poison, Master?"

"And don't forget the cordless..."

Roxx@n: It was longer, it was a really good read. I enjoyed it a lot. Wanted to see if Carlos became a great dad and he Grayson his friend out loud. He's rather closed off so a lil broader back story would be nice. And yes the wedding and twins announcement. A girl can hope right?
