Moroha and Koga's Sons
I was falling...no. I was drowning in the river with a demon that had its teeth on my shoulder. With a slash of my tessiaga, I destroyed the demon into oblivion. The wound was too much to handle the pain. I didn’t think it would be this bad, but I can’t move my arm.
I was bleeding out and I had to act fast before any other demon picked up my scent. I kept swimming with my uninjured arm, hoping to find anything to hold onto. The river was swift and strong. I was spitting out water, screaming desperately. But who would save a half breed as myself?
Humans despised me and Demons wanted to eat me to get a hold of my red pearl. I am not a full demon, I was a child of a human and a half-dog demon, but they were different from each other. My father was very powerful, considering he was just like me and my mother a human with purification powers. They loved each other dearly, even if they were entirely different. I never knew of my mother or my father till I had been told by Myoga the flea.
As I grew up, I learned to look out for myself. With the tessiaga and my bow, I got stronger. There were rumors that my father has been seen around, and I seek to find out if it's true or not. I was left to look out for myself only. Now, I’m here all alone. No one who cares, no one who would understand.
Moroha’s throat was exhausted, as well as her body. She drifted silently along the river. As Moroha dragged her body onto a bulky rock, she collapsed on the rock and closed her eyes. A man called out,“Hey Koga! Look over there!” Koga jumped out of the waterfall and into the river. “What’s this?,” he says confused. “It’s a girl! And I think she’s dead! Her shoulder is covered in blood!” Koga examined the girl’s face and said,“She’s not dead, you idiot! She’s still alive.” The wolf man looked at the girl and said,“So what do you wants us to do with her? Should we eat her?”
Koga sniffed the girl and said,“No. This girl isn’t a human. She smells like- a dog!” Koga stood back and looked at the girl. “So this must be Inuyasha’s kid. The scent of her mutt father and Kagome’s scent as well. What an unexpected surprise. Kagome might be looking for her, since that mutt can’t take care of his daughter. Let’s take her to the den.” The man responded immediately,“R-right! Hey guys! Give us a hand over here!” More wolf demons came out of the waterfall and assisted Koga in taking Moroha into the den.
All the curious wolves circled around her, smelling her. In the corner, there sat two wolf demons boys, that looked like Koga. One had orange hair and blue eyes, while the other had black hair and green eyes. Koga glanced at both of them and said,“You both are in charge while I’m gone. Make sure no dares to take a bite of her.” The boy with black hair looked shocked, as he exclaimed,“What?!” Koga furrowed his eyebrow and said,“No whining! Unless you want hard training this week.”
The boy drooped his head in annoyance, while his brother with orange hair chuckled at his scolded brother. As Koga left, the wolf-demons wanted to inch closer to smell her, but the boy with black hair stood up irritated and said,“You heard my father. No one gets to get close or even think of taking a nibble.” The boy with orange hair leaned back and watched amused. Moroha slowly opened her eyes, hearing all the commotion around her. “She’s awake!“, exclaimed one of the wolf demons. Moroha cracked her eyes wide open and grabbed her tessiaga with a swift motion.
The boy with black hair turned around and said,“Well, looks like she’s not dead. What a bother.” Moroha glared at him and said,“You’re one to talk! I need answers! Where am I?!” The boy stared at her sword and raised an eyebrow. “You’re in the wolf den. You should be grateful that my father saved you,” he scoffed.
Moroha trembled up to her feet, still bleeding from her wound. “I’m getting out of here!,“she huffed. She leaped over the wolf-demons easily, making them completely astonished. She wanted to run out of the cave, but the wolf demon son with black hair grabbed her arm. “You’re not going anywhere till father gets back,” he said irritably. Suddenly the boy noticed Moroha’s blood running down on his hand. He pulled her arm towards his nose, smelling her blood. He looked at her and said,“So, you’re a half breed, huh?”
Moroha punched him with her free arm knocking him out of balance. “Hey, get back here!“, exclaimed the boy. “See you never, stinky wolf!,” exclaimed Moroha. As Moroha was about to leap out of the cave, her body tensed up. She couldn’t move at all. She widened her eyes and looked over her shoulder. A tooth of the demon was embedded in her shoulder, causing her wound to turn black. The boy slowly stood up and said,“You idiot. Don’t you know that the demon that attacked you had poisonous teeth?” Moroha couldn’t turn to glare at him so she simply grit her teeth. “Shut up, stinky wolf! I knew that!,” she exclaimed angrily.
The boy approached her without hesitation, circling around her. “Hey, are you gonna get this tooth off me or what?!“, she whined. The boy crossed his arm and said,“And what? So that you can punch me and escape? Not gonna happen. You’ll have to wait.” Moroha growled and said,“I could die! Get it off me!”
He shrugged his shoulder and said,” I don’t care. I would be happy if you died.”
“Aw come on! That wouldn’t be fun!,“hollered his brother. “Shigeru, what now? You don’t care about this girl now do you?", he said annoyed.
"Ayoga, you know that father wouldn't be happy if she were dead. I'm just tryin' to save you an earful of shouting," chuckled Shigeru.
Ayoga rolled his eyes and grabbed a hold of Moroha's arms. With his fingers, he dug unto her wound and removed the poisonous tooth off her shoulder. He flicked it out of the waterfall and the tooth went flying out of the cave.
It would take a couple a minutes for Moroha to regain the movement of her body, so Ayoga took the liberty to take away her weapons and move her back to the den. The wolves guarded her, making sure she wouldn't attempt another escape. Ayoga sat down next to his brother, with the tessiaga and bow in hand. Shigeru snatched the sword from Ayoga and said,"Wow, that's a nice weapon!"
Moroha exclaimed,"Hey, give that back!"
Shigeru stuck his tongue out and said,"No way! This is our sword now!"
Ayoga scoffed and said,"You're so childish Shigeru."
Ayoga looked at the bow and the sword in curiosity. He then turned to Moroha asking,"What kind of half-demon has weapons like these?"
Moroha stayed quiet for a moment. She averted her eyes and said,"It was my mother's bow. She disappeared a long time ago. My father left me the tessiaga to defend myself from demons. He's still around, but I'm not sure where he is."
Ayoga chuckled rudely and said bluntly,"He must be dead."
