Have you ever failed at love? Have you ever had to start over? Have you had to learn to forgive yourself? Need to hit the restart button on your life? In 2012 that’s where the Author Kian Furnace found himself: Looking up from rock bottom with the shards of his broken heart laying before him. He had two options: Let it destroy him, or take those jigsawed shapes and multi-textured pieces and create a mosaic. He chose to create the mosaic as you will discover within the pages of After the Snap: Book One in the Anthology of Poems, Written After, During, and Before. This collection of poetry is real and raw, and writing it offered the author the much-needed therapy to move past low self-esteem, grief, and pain to gain the courage to start anew. It is a montage of optimism, hope, and longing. This cathartic process helped Kian channel his pain to prose. Raw, and unfiltered and still bitter in spots, but by the end, “After the Snap”, will have a profound effect on all who read it. The author’s God-given gift of poetry will continue to make room for him as an artist as he has more books on the horizon.
