I was listening, you stupid old fool. I was merely resting my ears from your litany. Goodness! I didn’t know you had the capacity to rant like a man in front of a court defending his life. I thought you were known for being a cold and one-worded business mogul.

“We need to sort this out right now!”

Oh believe me. I know. Do you believe I haven’t thought of a plan while you were soundly sleeping like a babe? I woke up with our faces plastered on the tabloids. Of course, I will create a bullet proof plan!

I nearly blasted my head at the amount of emails I received from the reporters and my employees. I thought perhaps a congratulations would greet me because finally I shagged the elusive and man-hater Iñigo Petrakis.

But I stand corrected. I received hate emails from his avid supporters, a long and lengthy litany from my board of directors asking me to sort out the scandal since it was affecting my company, and a short message from my worried sister, Addie, where I was because paparazzi were in front of my doorsteps.

“Per favour Senorita Marquez, we need to end this scandal,” he begged.

Ooh that sounded really sexy, coming off of his mouth.

“Ava,” I finally spoke.

“I beg your pardon?” he asked, startled and confused.

“Call me Ava, short for Avery.” I supplied for him, grinning as he tested it out with his mouth.

“Ms. Ava. As I have said, we need to sort this out right now,” the exasperation in his eyes was back and he was wringing his hands as he clutched the newspaper in his hand. “I cannot have a scandal attached to my name again!”

“Neither can I,” I drawled as I padded my way to his form. He stilled and his eyes zeroed in on the white open robe I wore. His jaw clenched and he quickly averted his gaze.

He wasn’t this evasive last night. I can clearly remember how he feasted on my breasts like a starved man. And let’s not get started on the beastly way he took me over and over last night.

My thighs clenched as wetness seeped through my car as the images flashed in my vision. Shaking my head and laughing mirthlessly, I stood before him and wickedly grinned.

“You’re not the only who’s name and company is in jeopardy! The only thing we can do is to sue whomever published those news and---”

“And?” he prodded desperate for a solution. A mischievous grin formed on my lips. My sensual lips lifted and my sultry eyes gleamed with a promise.

“Get married,” His eyes widened at my plan “I cannot have a scandal attached to my name. So whether you like it or not, you WILL marry me Iñigo Petrakis!”

You see, I liked the 35-year old former-billionaire, Iñigo Petrakis, since I was 15-years old. I was sucker for good and comforting guys that I instantly grew a crush on him after consoling me during my parent’s funeral.

Let’s just say I never got over my infatuation on him. It only grew when he got married, got divorced and became a bankrupt man after his wife cheated on him with his own father (I know it was truly scandalous). His company is also facing backlash after his ex-wife and father stole millions of money from their company.

I told you, his life was pretty scandalous and daunting.

Anyhow, I thought I should offer him a proposal or help since I am an established millionaire at the bright age of 25.

But, the man was hell-bent on declining my offers.

So, I managed to prepare a small plan for us to meet. But it backfired on me due to my best friend and sister. One thing led to the other and I ended up in his bed, being taken over and over again last night.

With our faces in front of the news, I knew the tabloids will bite and ruin us with every force. So, I created the perfect plan.

The only problem was this fuming and shaking man before me.

“No.” he bitted out “I will not marry ever again!”

Too bad because I already made up my mind.
