Chapter 1
Hey My name is Brooklyn, I just got out of high school. I was living at Louisville, Kentucky but something happend and I had to leave so I'm going to college in the south University of New Orleans to be exact, and my career is Graphic Design, I will be going in the Fall my mother and grandmom are so proud of me they had been there for me thru the good and the bad but I still made it thru and got out of school on time. So it was after 7 and it was dark but I always spend the night over my grandmother house, so we can talk and stuff . I love my grandmother she would stay up all night with me just to talk too me . I swear she is a OG forreal.
So I open the door and I seen this black male on her couch with a warm towel without no shirt on, with alot of tattoos on his body and lord his body was banging. Brooklyn you need to focus why in the hell is he in my grandmother's house?
"Brooklyn! is that you?" my granny yelled.
"Yes its me, and what is going on?" I drop my bag on the floor.
"Hold on, im coming." my granny said.
I looked at the dude and he was finally woken up. And poor thing he had a busted lip and a few cuts on his hands and arms i kinda felt bad for him. So I wanted to him off the best way I can.
"Do you need a glass of water?" I ask him.
"Thanks ma, and yeah that would be nice..thank you so much."He said.
"My name is Brooklyn!" I smiled
"Brooklyn huh?... I like that.It fits you perfectly, but my name is August." He said and lord his smile is A1 just a pretty ass smile.
"Well I will be right back August, sit tight." I told him, so I walked into the kitchen were my grandma was and she was cleaning his shirt off in the sink and I notice it had blood on it, and after that she throw it in the washer with some bleach since it was a white shirt
"So what is going on?" I asked her while she was pouring August some water.
"Well baby, I was coming back from the store and I will always see August a lot because he will help me put my bags in my car. But today there were a random fight that broke loose and the guys jumped August and was going to leave him there helpless. So I walked over there towards him and help him into my car and thats why he is here." My Grandma explain the story
"Wow, that was nice thing to do granny." I said to her and she gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked into her room. So I got his water and walk back into the living room while he was watching whatever is on t.v.
"Here you go!"I smiled.
"Thanks ma!" he smiled at me and drunk his water.
Damn it seem like he haven't drink anything in days. Poor thing, so my granny told him that he can stay at her house so he can get his self together and I thought that was nice of my granny to do that. She always help people in need that is why I always look up too her. She just a kind and down to earth person.
"Granny... where im going to sleep?" i asked her.
"Damn I forgot." Granny Said.
"Its alright, I can leave..its no problem." August explain, but the thing about it is he couldnt even get up. Thats how bad his is.
"Naw, its alright August. You can sleep in my room but you need to sit back down!" i help him back on the couch.
"Alright!" he smiled.
"Well im going to sleep, but if you need anything August just ask my grandbaby Brooklyn alright?" she said.
"Ok and thanks again! Mrs. Love" August said.
"Boy, you can call me granny!" my granny said.
"ok granny!" he laugh.
So my granny went into her room and close the door. So i got up and got the first aid kit.
"What are you doing ma?" August asked me.
"Im going to clean your cuts. So sit tight." I told him
he nodded
"its going to hurt alright?" i warn him.
"Girl, im not no baby!" August said, that made me laugh.
So I rub the alcohol on his cuts and I can tell it hurt him. So after I was done I notice that he was actually sexy to be honest. Like really sexy.
"So how old are you?" August asked me.
"I just turn 20. How about you." I change the channel to BET.
"im 20 too!" he said.
"oh.." i said.
It was an awkward silent between us.
"Brooklyn?" he said.
"Yes?" i looked at him.
"Can you cook me something?" he asked.
"Yeah, I will cook you something real quick." I got up and I notice he was looking at my stare cuz he mumbled damn under his breath and I turn around and started to laugh. But I was blushing really hard.
The only thing my granny had was Roman Noodles and some fruit punch. So I put our food on the table cuz my granny dont like nobody to eat in the living room. So I walked back to get August, poor thing he was cant walk. So I got his bowl and we ate in the living room praying my granny dont get up and start yelling.
"I know that you cant walk, but my granny dont like anyone to eat in here but its our lil secert ok?' i told him
"ok brooklyn, and thanks. You know that you didnt have to do that for me!" he was eating his noodles.
"I know but I wanted too."I smiled.
So it was already 11:20 p.m. and I was getting tired.
"I think, im going to bed.. Are you ready to go to bed?" I asked him but for some reason he was day dreaming.
"Earth to August!"I snap my fingers in his face.
"ohh yeah!" August said.
I laugh and I help him to go to my room, and his leg was getting better cuz I put a heating pad on his legs. So I help him into the bed and I was about to close the door until August called me back in.
"Brook!" August yelled.
"Yes?" I smiled.
"You can sleep with me.. If you want to?" August said.
"Are you sure?" i asked him.
"Yeah, their is enough for us 2!" August laugh.
"ok! (i close the door and got under the covers with August and damn he is warm) Good Night August!" i said.
"Good night Brook!" August said.
About 30 mins later August was already was K.O. And I really couldnt go to sleep because August was in my bed and I was just nervous so I kept on moving back and forth in my bed and some how August woke back up.
"Damn ma, you cant sleep?" August said.
"No, im sorry!" i told him.
"it's alright, you can move closer if you want!" August said.
So i lay my head on his chest listening to his heart beat and he was just stroking my hair and after that I was K.O.
Next Morning

I woke up and Brooklyn wasnt there. So I got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower and stuff. So after that I didnt even notice that Brooklyn was in the Kitchen cooking Breakfast. So I walked into the kitchen and I was just watching the way Brooklyn cook and she look good in them shorts.
"Good morning ma!" i told her.
she jumped. "You scared me August!" she put her hand on her chest.
"im sorry ma." I laugh
"it was alright, but good morning. Here is your breakfast!" she set it on the table with my OJ and toast was at.
"Thanks!" i smiled.
"No problem!" she smiled
Me and brook ate in silent but it was a good silent doe and she can really cook. So I got up and clean my plate and went into the living room.
"So is ya Granny at work?" i asked her
"Yeah!" she sit next too me.
"So what are we going to do?" i asked her.
"I dont know, what do you want to do?" she asked me.
"We Can chill doe.. But do you smoke?" i asked her
"Nah.. why?" she said.
"Cuz im about to hit this, do you want to join?" i asked.
"Nah, I cant stand the smell of it. So you got to take it outside." Brooklyn snap.
"Damn... alright. I will be right back!" I got up.

After that I went back inside and Brooklyn was sleep on the couch. So the only thing I could do to wake her up is kissed her. So I Lean in and I kissed her lips and she had woken up and she push me.
"What the hell are you doing?" Brooklyn semi yelled.
"I kissed you, cuz I was trying to wake you up!" i told her.
"but why? I dont know where your lips had been!" she snap.
"Damn, chill out ma. It was only a friendly kiss!" i told her.
"Whatever." Brooklyn went into her room.

"So are you mad at me?"I asked her

"Come on, its not that like you liked the kiss?" i asked her
"I didnt!" she said.
"Then, why are you tripping?" i asked her.
"I don't know. Just forget it." She said and went under her covers.
(sighs) I close the door and I stay in the living room and watch some t.v. but I was getting sleepy so I went back into her room and I got under the covers and I pulled Brooklyn closer to me cuz I love the way she smells and sleeps she makes me fall asleep and forget everything that is going on in my life.
Flash back
"AUGUST, YOU ARE SELLING ROCKS ON THE STREETS?" My mom yelled.
"I needed the money mom, im only helping you out with the bills." I explain.
"Your brother gotten killed from the streets, and now you are risking your life too?" my mom cried.
"Mom we need the money." i mention.
"August, you cant live in this house no more!" my mom said.
"What? where im going to live at?" i semi yelled.
"You got to figure that out on your own." My mom walked away.
So I got my things and I went to Melvin's Wife house I know that she will let me stay for a couple of days until I find a place to stay.
"Hey Megan, I was wondering if I can stay for a couple of days?" i asked her.
"Sure!" she let me in.
2 days later
I got my own place to stay at, im still going to help my mom out what she like it or not im not going to let my mom live on the streets!

I woke up, and I looked at my phone and my girls Alex and Starr was texting me like crazy go I realize I was in August arms so I reach for my phone and open the Text msg

Alex: Brookie where are you at?
Starr: Yeah we at your house and you not home?
Me: im over my granny house to come thru doe!
Alex: iight hoe
I heard a knock on the door so I got up and it was my two besties Starr and Alex
"Girl, why are you not dress? You know we go to the mall every Wednesdays!" Alex walked into the living room.
"Yeah girl, whats up with you?" Starr said.
"im sorry I forgot I was sleep!" i told them.
"Brook, who is that?" August came out.
My girls was looking at me and they was smiling!
"Ayee, its not like that yall!" i told them.
"So who is your friend?" Alex smiled.
"August, this are my 2 besties Alex and starr. Gang meet August!" i smiled.
"Heyyyyy!" they said unison
"Wassup?" August nodded his head.
"Well, we was taking our girl out to the mall. But we didnt know yall was busying!" Starr said.
August started laughing.
"I will explain later, but Aug do you want to come with us?" I asked.
"Sure!" he smiled.

So Me and August got into Alex Car and we went to the mall. But for some reason August couldn't keep his eyes off of me. I dont know because I was looking good or what? but shit he was looking sexy too I cant even lie doe.
"You look good ma!" August told me and it made it blush
"Thanks, you too August!" I told him.
It was a 15 min drive but August was just flirting with me and shit and im not going to lie I was flirting back. So we had finally made it to the Mall. But for some reason Alex and Starr left me and August and I couldnt even find them. So me and August was walking around the mall.
I trying on some clothes, but I wanted to try on this dress and I know for sure im going to buy it but I couldnt even zip is back down. -___-
"August, can you zip down my dress. It got stuck!" i told him.
"Yeah sure!" August got up.
So I move my hair out of his way so he can zip the dress down, he was having trouble with it but then he finally got it and he was zipping my dress down lowly and he kiss the back of my shoulder. And for some reason I wanted to kiss him so I turn around and my lips met his. And wow his lips were soft ass fuck. August was biting my bottom lip for entrance so I open my mouth and we was having a tongue war and he put me on the back of the dressing room wall and he put both of my legs around his waist and he was feeling on my ass, it felt right but it felt wrong at the same time. And we stop.
"Uh.. thanks for zipping the dress down!" I wipe my mouth off.
"No problem... uh.. I will be waiting outside." August left out.
Wow what the fuck is going on here? I only met him yesterday and im already kissing on him?
So I put my clothes back on and I went up front to pay for my dress and it was like 200 dollars. So before I could give her my money August give her 200 dollars.
"August, you know that you didnt have to do that.. And thank you!" I was getting my bag
"But, I wanted too. When you are with me you are not spending a dime!" August mention.
And only thing I can do was smile. Like why is he being so nice too me?
"Thanks August, I appreciate." I thank him once more.
So my besties that left me text me saying they was at the food court and shit I was hungry anyways. Me and august share a pizza and we was looking at some shoes and after that Alex and Starr took us home.
"I had fun today! " August said.
"Yeah, me too!" I smiled
"Damn, I should be going back to my house!" i told him.
"Why?" he asked.
"Because my mom is waiting on me. I live across the street!" I laugh.
"Forrea?" he said.
"Yeah, but you dont want me to leave?" I asked him.
"No!" he pulled me on his lap.
"And why is that?" I asked him.
"I know that you want me, why can we cut it to the chase and do some things!" August said.
"August, do you even have respect for females?" I asked him.
"Yes, but you are different. I would had tap that on the first night. But you are different and I want to take it slow with you ma. You and ya granny had been there for me for only 2 days and im feeling some type of way." August was rubbing my thighs.
"August, you are just horny. You need to relax!" I told him.
"I am relax, you dont see a good one in front of your own eyes. I can treat you like a queen, you dont have to lift a finger I will take care of you and ya family. Like you are taking care of me right now!" August said.
"August, you dont want me!" I got up.
"Yes I do want you. Stop talking crazy!" August grab my arm.
"August, please let go of me. I will be over here 2morrow alright?" I was getting my bags.
"Ok brooklyn!" August gave up.
I just walked back to my house. Maybe August is right, maybe he can treat me better. But it only been 2 whole days and he doesnt even know me. Like I dont even know him!
