Chapter 1

The Rogue

By: Sadie Wolf and Luna_Wolf

I run as fast as I can, not daring to look back at the creature chasing me.

"Stop, wolf, you can't outrun a vampire," the vampire says. I didn't answer, just ran.

Maybe you don't know me then. I thought as I made a sharp turn, narrowly avoiding a boulder. I raced ahead, I could see a cliff coming up, and I could hear the waves crashing against the rocks at the bottom. This is my chance to get away. I think as I race toward the upcoming cliff.

Just before I met the end of the cliff, I made a sharp turn and hopped off the side. I landed heavily on my paws, I was on a ledge, and luckily for me, there was a cave. I jumped in the cave, moments later I heard the vampire arrive at the cliff and let out a loud, angered growl.

Just as I wanted, he thinks I jumped in the water, which would probably kill me cause the sharp rocks at the bottom. I smiled to myself, satisfied I had succeeded in escaping, this time at least. I decided to stay in the cave for tonight, it was already getting dark.

I layed down and put my head on my paws. The cool cave floor felt good. After a while, I decided to go get some water, since I couldn't sleep. I poked my head out of the cave and looked around. No vampires. I sniffed the air. No vampires, except the faded scent of the vampire from earlier.

I climbed out of the cave and made my way back up to the cliff. I then went to the river I had passed when I had been running from the vampire. I was very cautious, stopping and smelling for any vampires every few feet. I'd need to be cautious if I was to get back to the cave.

I crouched behind a tree and searched the area around the river, then quickly ran to the river and lapped up some water, then ran back to the cave. I hopped down from the cliff and landed on the ledge, I walked into the cave and layed down. My paw hurt, I had landed on it wrong when I hopped down onto the ledge.

I heard a rabbit move, and when I realized it was in the cave, I stood up and searched for it. When I found it, I crouched behind a rock. I jumped over the rock and caught the rabbit. I was hungry, so I ate it right after I caught it.

I let out a howl before I went to sleep, I knew it was a risk, but I always howl at night. It reminds me that I have an enemy, an enemy that hears every howl. An enemy that happens to be a very feared alpha. Am enemy, that I must stay just out of their reach, his reach.

I heard my howl echo, and decided to move locations. I didn't want to risk getting found by the vampires. I hopped down multiple ledges until I found another ledge with a cave, close, very close, to the water.

I was tired, but knew I had to stay up. First to make sure the vampires don't find me, second to make sure I'm safe from the water on high tide. A howl echoes through the night sky. I sniff around in the cave, looking for the scent of another wolf. When I find only the faded scent of a few mice I lay down and lick my sore paw.

The wind picks up splashing a bit of water into the cave. "This is going to be a long night, my wolf," Selma, sighs. And then, like every other night, I let Selma take over, and I cry myself to sleep.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
