The Interrogation

The Interrogation

0

INTERIOR- Police Station, inside dim interrogation room

0

The suspect sits alone in the room in a chair in front of a desk. The closed door opens and in walks the plainclothes detective.

0

CUT TO - wide shot of entire room as seen from security camera

0

The detective shuffles a folder and takes a seat behind the desk. He takes his time settling in before speaking or acknowledging the suspect

0

Detective

0

Good afternoon sir, I’m sorry to keep you waiting. At this point I just need to ask a few questions so that we can begin eliminating suspects.

0

Suspect

0

Sure, I understand. Anything I can do to help. It’s a terrible thing that happened.

0

Detective

0

Mmm yes it was.

0

So , you are the next door neighbor of the deceased, correct? Mrs. Edith Davis?

0

Suspect

0

Yes sir, I was

0

Detective

0

The killer left a note, a printed email at mrs Davis’ home.

0

Do you own a computer sir?

0

Suspect

0

(Now becoming nervous) uhh..yeah. Yeah. I have one.

0

Detective

0

Do you mind if we took a look at your computers hard drive and search history? To help eliminate you.

0

CUT TO - close up of suspect’s face as his eyes open wide

0

CUT TO - security camera view

0

Suspect

0

You...you don’t have to go through the search history..do you?

0

Detective

0

But there’s been a murder....and we’re the cops... So....

0

The detective looks suspiciously at the suspect. Then stands up from the desk.

0

Detective

0

Can I get you something? Coffee? I have to step out and call my partner. You good?

0

The suspect nods that he is good as the detective exits the room and shuts the door.

0

The suspect places his head on the desk once alone

0

CUT TO - the door. It opens.

0

The Detective returns. It has been a while and the suspect is tired and lifts his head as the detective closes the door and sits back at his desk.

0

Suspect

0

Sir, can I ask why I’ve been here so long? I wish I knew more..I just didn’t see or hear anything.

0

Detective

0

Looks like you’ve got some explaining to do son.

0

Suspect

0

What? What do you mean?

0

Detective

0

I just took a look on your computer. That’s right. Got the warrant while I was out.

0

Suspect

0

Oh god..

0

Detective

0

That’s right pal. If you are innocent, as you claim.... of the murder of one mrs. Edith Davis....

0

How do you explain searching the internet for, and I quote: “how to get rid of E.D.”

0

CUT TO - Suspect’s Face as He Uncomfortably thinks how to explain to the detective

0

Detective

0

I mean shoot, there it is, plain as day. How do I get rid of E.D.

0

The suspect squirms around and rubs his face as he struggles how to explain away the search.

0

CUT TO - Security Camera

0

Detective

0

I bet you think your pretty smart. Think you covered all your tracks...

0

Suspect

0

But... but I-

0

Detective

0

I took a look at your phone records too. Turns out....on the night of Edith Davis’ murder, you messaged your wife’s best friend.

0

The color drains from the suspects face as he realizes what is coming and he slumps his head into his arms on the table

0

Suspect

0

...oh god. Please no.

0

The detective eagerly continues

0

Detective

0

At 1:15 am you sent your wife’s best friend a text that said “I’m alone, come over”

0

More groaning from the suspect. The detective oblivious to what he has really stumbled onto.

0

Detective

0

At 1:18 am she texted you back....what about E.D.? Question mark, Winkie face, eggplant emoji.

0

Suspect

0

Ahhhhhh.....stop....

0

Detective

0

To which YOU replied “not a problem anymore, E.D. is gone” smiley face, flexing arm, another flexing arm, eggplant emoji, water spray emoji.

0

Little hard to refute that.

0

The suspect struggles in his sit with what he just heard. Unsure of what to do.

0

Detective

0

Eye-witness statements indicate the perp wore a mask. Do you own a mask?

0

Suspect

0

A mask? No. I don’t own a mask.

0

Detective

0

We have recovered a mask from your wife’s best friends apartment. I’m going to need you to try it on so we can see if it fits.

0

The detective produces a black leather bdsm sex mask with a comically round hole for a mouth

0

He hands it to the suspect.

0

Detective

0

Try that on for me

0

The suspect reluctantly puts the mask on his face.

0

He keeps it on as detective speaks to him

0

Detective

0

How does that fit?

0

Suspect

0

Uhhh...it’s kinda tight?

0

The detective keeps talking while suspect is in mask

0

Detective

0

Funny thing, we tested the mask and couldn’t find your DNA.

0

CUT TO- close up of suspects face, still in sex mask

0

Suspect gives out a sigh of relief through the mask

0

CUT TO- wide security camera shot

0

The detective continues his story

0

Detective

0

Yep, we found DNA from seven different male individuals on that mask.

0

CUT TO- close up up suspects face.

0

Suspect looks extremely relieved and smiles through the mask.

0

CUT TO- close shot of detective sitting behind desk, suspects view

0

Detective

0

Semen.

0

CUT TO- close shot of suspects face.

0

Suspects expression of relief drops away, he looks stunned

0

Suspect

0

Wha- what?

0

CUT TO- security camera shot

0

Detective

0

That’s right. That thing must have been absolutely covered in semen.

0

CUT TO- close shot of detective sitting behind desk, suspects view

0

The detective leans over the desk smiling sarcastically

0

Detective

0

Hope you’ve had all your shots! Hahaha

0

CUT TO- wide security camera shot

0

Suspect is seen pulling mask off frantically and tossing it onto the desk.

0

Detective

0

Ok, back to that search history... Yes that search history was telling. Even shows you searching penal enlargement. What’s wrong? Scared of going to a large prison son? You should be. I even found a search for-

0

CUT TO - Suspects face as he sits up suddenly

0

Suspect

0

I did it!

0

CUT TO - Security Camera

0

Suspect

0

I did it. I killed her. There. Please. Can we skip a trial!? Please.

0

Detective

0

I’m glad to hear you tell the truth son

0

The detective takes a sheet of paper and slides it across the desk to the Suspect

0

Detective

0

Here, you just write down your confession and we can skip that whole trial.

0

Suspect

0

(Relieved) thank god!

0

Suspect eagerly grabs paper and begins writing furiously

Piece of Cake

YukkeTee: This isn’t just a romance. It’s the kind of slow-burn, messy kind of love that feels real—where two people carry scars and walls, and still choose each other anyway. The tension isn’t just between them; it’s in the quiet moments, the way they fumble through vulnerability, and the small, unspoken act...
