The Forbidden Climb
"I really loved this book, it evoked some emotions in me. There were times where I actually got scared, it is thrilling. What i dislike about this book is that the author is rushing to get to the climax and it was predictable in the first few chapters. Overall it was a good read. I will most definitely recommend this book to my fiancee, this is more his style. "
Forbidden Climb
"So to start off, I think this book has potential to become something really great. The mysterious vibe it had at the start was promising and the idea itself with the mysterious stairs in forests, artifacts or the hiking is surely interesting. However the plot for me personally felt rushed. We don't get to know enough about the characters (their motivations, flaws, habits, appearance) to care for their journey or distinguish them between one another. Also as there are no character descriptions it causes a repetitive way of calling them. (the ranger etc). Furthermore, I think the conflicts were settled too quickly, Williams' and Mason's motivations were changed with little effort and no explanation why... Also Ethan... By the second half of the book he drowned the supportive characters to the bottom, calling most of the shots... On the techinical side, some of the sentences felt choppy, but I can't pinpoint the reason behind that... So this remains, as just my personal opinion. I would have also enjoyed more description about hiking, camping etc, or if this novel would have explored the background of the town, the mountains. Anyway, 'Forbidden Climb' has potential. I hope the author keeps on writing and crafting stories with passion, because we all get better with practice. I'm hoping to see amazing stories out of this author one day. "
