HOW TO UNDERSTAND OUR SMARTPHONE APPS?
If you have smartphones or mobile phones, probably you use them for messaging, playing games, socializing, asking for directions or even see what to eat or buy at the grocery. They are all easy to download and install on your mobile devices. Some are asking for your mobile numbers for registration or even no information at all. Mobile Apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Gmail, WhatsApp, Flashat App, Grab and many more are so much fun to use. They give us convenience that we might download them without thinking about some considerations. And that’s how they’re paid for, what information they may gather from our device, or who gets that information?
Mobile applications are a software program in which we can download and access directly using your phone or another mobile device, like a tablet or music player. We just need an internet connection to download them on Google Play or App Stores or whatever your device is applicable to download these mobile applications. Some apps offer their basic versions for free. Their developers hope you’ll like the app enough to upgrade to a paid version with more features.
What I’d said in the first paragraph, there might be some information that is needed in order to use the apps that we downloaded. These might be our call logs, phone or email contact list, internet data, device location, photos or images and many more. Apps asks these things in order to give and perform the duty of the apps we downloaded (i.e. Sharing Device Location to unable to search for deliveries or restaurants nearby).
In order to be more updated and secured, mobile apps require you to update the software if there is a need to be updated. It also allows you to use the updated version of a mobile and adapt to the changes of said version. Also. updates often have security patches that protect your information and your device from the latest malware.
