rainbow colored skin

~

it doesn’t really matter

if people change

or they always stay the same

if you’re a better person now

after years spent learning

who you are

because i once knew you

there’s no fearing

what you learned were new tricks

a dogs at ten looks the same as a dog at two

and you will always be the one

that bit the hand that fed you

even all healed up

shed down to a new layer of skin

the scar is still there

below the surface

this tattoo isn’t so i never forget

or to cover up the pain

ignore the marks

it’s because i’m a different person now

the only person who’s change matters
