Too Cruel to Be Petty

"Something is very wrong with Officer Petty. His fellow police officers have noticed it, but prefer to ignore their observations. And he has that sexy new girlfriend McDaniels. Maybe she was the reason for his skittish behavior, the false pep in his step. Their relationship certainly went beyond the Officer Friendly treatment. But only Petty knows how far he has really gone and the only thing that frightens him more then his self acknowledged insanity is his inability to control his thirst for personal justice ...and just how far he’ll go to get it. I love stories like these. Stories about crazy and inventive serial killers. The fact that this guy is a police officer makes it all the more juicy. My favorite chapter was the first one with the girl trapped in the dog cage; a wonderfully, frightening experience. The author Jason Boyce has come up with some great characters. I certainly hope he continues with this novel. It would be a real shame to let Officer’s Perry’s ultimate fate (and the other crimes he will undoubtedly commit) remain unknown. "
