Serenity Regained
"A great piece of fan fiction, Confessions of a Warrior Woman feeds that need for the crew of the Serenity to be back in action. Written in Zoe's voice with her dry wit, you get hooked instantly. As the story line unfolds, I found that I was compelled to keep reading. The author captures the characters just as you remember them, both in description and voice. I was disappointed when I wasn't able to go past chapter 14, so I'm looking forward to seeing where Christianson takes us next!"
The wife's opinion
"Very entertaining. Kept me engaged throughout. Nice touch, telling the story from Zoe's perspective. The plot to reunite the crew and resurrect Wash was plausible. Book's history was interesting and adhered nicely to the comic book, as did the addition of Emma.. Hope you plan to finish it - very curious to see if/how Wash is brought back."
Liked it a lot!
"Had read it before but I reread it. Good storyline, good balance with story line and action. Good character dialog. Always keep moving, no stale parts. Had read it before but I reread it. Would love to see this Firefly return
"This ROCKS. You've got Zoe's voice down perfect and it's a great entry into the story. Her voice and the story's introduction are very engaging, the hook at the end of Chapter 1 is a real grabber, and you've got some solid laughs to boot (I especially liked "Put a dime in that jukebox..."). The only thing I'd reconsider is the line that echoes Inigo Montoya -- it takes me out of the Firefly universe and into that of The Princess Bride. However, a single humorous line that sums up Evans's code like that is very cool; I'd just change it so it doesn't sound so much like Inigo. Other than that, I couldn't see anything else to critique. It's awesome work!"
Firefly
"So far so good. Hoping it picks up soon, though I understand the need for back story especially since Firefly has been off air for so long."
