The Party of Dolls on the Walls

There once was a party,

There once were 12 guests.

The rules were quite simple...

Smile or be dead.

The clock will strike 12, the fun will begin.

Death's diamond door is open at the end.

Someone is imitating, someone is lost.

The watchmaker's whirr whirr whirr whirring...

The watchmaker's spin spin spin spinning...

Look at yourself in the mirror with different eyes.

Your head will swing in time with some crazy dripping tune.

Your tiny hands are frozen...are frozen...are frozen...

Each guest hated mice, and each guest had a secret.

The first to dance will be the one who couldn’t keep it.

The second to eat will be the one to choke.

The third to sleep will be the one to snap.

The fourth to drink will be the one to clap.

The fifth to sing will be the one to crack.

The sixth to laugh will be the one to scratch.

The seventh to see the demon in hiding will break.

The eighth to lie about the mice will be the one to cry.

The ninth that had stood there and simply observed,

Will tap away to the woods and be lost to all.

Who is the traitor in this midst of deception?

Who is there left that can still keep smiling?

The watchmaker's heart is twisting.

The diamond bands are breaking.

This is the party of little dolls,

The smiling party of the little dolls on the walls,

All of them will smile, or I’ll leave them behind.

All of them will smile, or I’ll leave them to the mice.

Taste of Passion

musa moo: Its a sweet story. The writing is very good. The only thing I found wanting was the structurisation. Whenever there was a change in scenario or situation, I wish there was some kind spacing or something to indicate that there's a change ahead. Because of that it became a bit confusing in the middle ...

truben21: It took me a while to get into the flow of this story, but once I did, I was hooked. The female lead step from naivety to siren was a little fast for me, but I guess it needed to be, to move the story along. I can't wait for the next story, with the cliff hanger whetting my appetite.
