[“When Wolves Howl”]
[Action - Humour - Mystery - Romance]
[Summary: Lily is the sole survivor of her pack, and has been stuck in her wolf form for almost 20 years now. Having found shelter with the humans in the small town of New Creek, Lily had found her peace and quiet, away from anything supernatural related.
Until the Sheriff’s daughter disappears one night into thin air.
That’s when Lily finds herself going into a world she’d promised herself to never go back to, solve the mystery, stop a pack war, and help bring back one of the kids she helped raise.]

[Worldbuilding Information: The story takes place in the modern world, specifically in a fictional little town (New Creek) a few miles outside of Bristol, UK. It’s right smack in the middle of a really big forest, so they don’t get too many tourists, save for a few hikers and trail runners.
Our protagonist (Lily) has been living there for 20 years. She’s been found as a wolf pup by the humans and didn’t change back to her human form. So as of now, Lily is a full-grown wolf the size of a grizzly/brown bear. She’s quite quirky and temperamental and has adopted every single human in the town as her own. So when Chloe (Sheriff’s daughter) goes missing one night, she has to join the search party. That’s when she realizes, that to get Chloe back, Lily will have to go back to the world she left behind.
As for the Packs, I will be playing a little bit more with the titles and the hierarchy. The Alphas will get a more broad sense of duties, the Betas will get more responsibilities, while the Lunas will get more active roles and responsibilities in the pack.
Mates will be chosen and not forced upon by a general obligatory bond. Just like with actual wolves that get to choose their mates based on their preferences and the mate’s abilities to provide for the pack and family. There is the exception of Soulmates, but that is a very rare thing to come across and wolves will be extremely lucky if their chosen mate happens to be their soulmate. Soulmates, as they’re rare, are very revered and treated with respect in the wolf community.
I will also be playing with the terms of ”werewolf” and ”Lycan”.
In this universe and setting, Lycan is the original pure breed, dating back to the first-ever werewolves made. They are a pure breed, meaning that they can stay in their wolf forms longer and don’t have to change into their human forms. Meanwhile, Werewolf is the generalized term that has every other wolf in. Werewolves could be either purebred with two wolf parents, or mixed by having one wolf and one human parent. If you were confused by the above maybe this will help you understand better: “Every Lycan is a Werewolf, but not every Werewolf is a Lycan”.]
