America the Poor: Tales of a Wanderer
"Very vivid description of witnessing abuse by Carol’s boyfriend in an alcoholic rage and the harrowing escape of the 2 young boys. Loved the supernatural description of the deceased neighbor’s house. A sad ending after a stalking his unrequited love obsession at the hotel. Looking forward to read more. Still recommend for all those interested in seeing how capitalism affects the inequality and the poor in society. "

Amazing stuff
"Why are modern writers not like this? Because they create stories so slick and polished but without truth and human heart. This author provides both. It would be a horrible thing if thousands of readers dont read this work. its raw, but strong stuff, and captivating from the intro. I cannot wait to read other volumes, a young story that cannot be described easiily!"

"new to inkitt, I tend to avoid sites like this, but a friend on facebook asked me to check this out, and here I am. I usually only read paperbacks, and this certainly deserves to be published. Ive never seen a true story told in this style, and I probably never will again. All I can say is it you love true stories, and want another perspective, start reading this as soon as you can! The author seems to have principles, and thats very rare these days. Ive said my peace."
An original story for once!
"As a reader, I can see every point he makes. I don't do a lot of reading this days, but I gotta say, this seems wild. Cant wait for future stories, I can see them coming. If you like a slow story that will draw you in, I suggest this one. The author claims these to be true stories, if that is so, he's got a special talent for making me see them, as they happened. very few writers have ever done that for me. Try this work, and you wont easily forget it. I know I wont."
A tale ive never seen before!
"In all my years reading, this is a tale unlike anything ive seen in my years(thats a long while, im a senior). Im not much of a writer, so this will be short. If you only read 5 works here on INKITT, read this one, you will never forget it. If thsi story is true as the author says, either he is blessed or cursed, and I cannot wait til this tale is finished, I want to know it all at this point! America the Poor deserves to be at the top of reading lists, to be sure. This coming from an old guy who has seen a lot!"

"This writer tells you like it is or was. When I realized that it's a true story, I was just blown away. This story is vary vivid. The descriptions of sights and sounds of the city were great. I take breaks at work so I don't like to waste my time. This is break worthy."
A sad yet humorous voice never seen before!
"I read his other story "My Dead Piggy" recently, but started with this one. In the world of books, there are lots of voices and styles. FIction seems to have the most. Non-fictional autobiography has less, but this voice stands out like none other ive ever read before. I've only read 18 chapters, but I can tell, the adventures are coming, its in the tone, the style, the humor, and even in his philosophies, which he gladly shares to this readers delight. If you try his voice, you will see a long but fascinating raw author, that will take you to some dark places, as well as to the depths of humor, where the soul resides! If this was for sale, i'd buy it for sure, I dont believe the world of literature has ever seen an author like this in centuries. maybe ever! BY all means Johnny, keep the true stories coming!"
More than unique, fascinating too
"Im not that much of a reader, but a co-worker sent me a link to this work. so Im giving it a shot. Im speechless! If its true, the authors claims that he had no formal education beyond 6th grade, and no training in writing, im simply amazed. Such a point of view growing up in buffalo(i spent time there myself). Ive read a few biographies, and 2 other autobiographies, but nothing like this. He seems to have a rare ability to convey his sight, and his views on readers, and it could change how we see the world, incredible! Im eager to see where this leads! Keep going John, you have a true talent and voice in the writing world! By the way, there are small minor mistakes here and there, but your story and voice are so engaging, I didnt care as a reader! Keep going!"

"I just read the first four chapters, and am amazed. I work at a library, and so read a lot of books, but nothing like this. The author drew me in, using humor, ego, and a special way of talking to the reader. I think this has truly amazing potential, and I hope theres a lot more to go. "This was recommended by a friend, and something in the writers voice speaks to me. I usually dont read much because I cannot understand or sympathize with most main characters,but as I kept going, this voice spoke to me. Wasnt perfect, but that didnt matter, I saw Buffalo in my head. Amazing, I cant wait to see where this is going, and the fact that it all happened to him for real, makes this truly special.
