Extinct? Nah.
!*^*! Alli’s P.O.V !*^*!
I stepped out of my house, and per usual, the world opened up to me, I had turned 16 yesterday.
Some weird ass shit had been happening to me, things like animals giving me a certain look, some creeper always around when I went to town.
I shuddered, and patted imaginary dust off my shirt. Thoughts swirled in my head, without knowing, I had made my way towards the forest, one place that I felt at home.
Will It work today? What am I again? Vampires can be killed by a wooden stake. ALLI DID YOU DO THE DISHES LIKE YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO?
-Ow, now that last thought hurt, but of course I hadn’t done the dishes, I had things to do, and by things to do, I mean, ’Trying to figure out my ‘Power.’
Over the course of the past two months, my eyes had changed, they used to be pure dark blue, just straight blue, and then, they had gotten highlights, streaks of light blue and silver striking through to the edge of my irises.
I had, about two weeks ago, wandered into the forest, and wondered what is would be like to be a Falcon, soaring through the treetops.
I had closed my eyes, imagining the scene in my head. Then, like magic, I and looked down, and instead of seeing my body, I saw bird legs, it was unbelievable, stretching my arms, they were wings, the brown color of an falcon.
I thought that I was in a dream, but when I used her wings to propel myself into the air, I just knew it was real.
I had taught myself how to fly that day, learning the tips and tricks. Every day I had come back, shifting into another animal, learning how it worked, learning how to use it’s strengths.
Snapping myself back into reality, I noticed that I was in the clearing, where I had been shifting the past few days.
“Hmm, Which animal today?” I asked myself, unable to get rid of the habit of talking to myself.
I start thinking of new animals, I had already done, Eagle, Falcon,Hawk, Wolf, Horse, Jaguar, Cheetah, Black Panther, and even an mountain lion.
My face lit up when I got an idea, and I focused on the animal, closed her eyes, and within seconds, I opened her eyes, flexing my claws.
Padding over to the pond in the middle of the clearing, I looked at my reflection in the water. I was a lioness, the normal tan color, save for slightly silver paws and muzzle, and my eyes, still bright blue.
Stretching, I admired the muscular body of the lion, the pure power concealed by flesh and bone.
I yawned, startled by the low roar that came out. An idea came to mind, so I took a deep breath and let out a roar.
!*^*! Troy’s P.O.V !*^*!
I grumbled, kicking rocks as I walked through the woods. Glancing down, I read the Mag-O-Meter, it was a phone-like device, and pointed you in the direction of supernatural magic.
It pointed forward, and beeped, then again. I picked up speed, running through the woods, tapping my bracelet, the crescent moon reflecting into my eyes.
Not but 30 seconds later, I was sprinting through the forest, leaping over fallen logs easily.
My wolf form is powerful, filled with energy, and the love of the chase.
I am a bounty hunter,a fake one at least, and a werewolf. I held the Mag-O-Meter in my jaws, sprinting silently through the forest, skidding to a stop just before I went crashing into a clearing.
I froze, shock-still, my eyes locking onto a girl, a blond, with wavy hair. Immediately, I searched her eyes, looking for the highlights that would tell she was supernatural.
I found the streaks of silver and light blue, both colors complementing the regular dark blue. She was supernatural.
I watched, waiting, the girl closed her eyes, and her body blurred, changing, Shifting. Then the blur was gone, and there stood a sandy-colored lioness, with silver paws and muzzle. Holy Shit. -Nope, no fucking way. A Shapeshifter?
Shapeshifter’s were extremely rare, the whole species hunted down for their powers of healing. They were also incredibly powerful, witches and warlocks used a certain spell to draw power from them, creating potions, and enchanting objects, since enchantments needed power, which witches and warlocks had to draw from the environment.
She padded around, looking at herself in the small pond. ”Oh mon. Dad aimerait savoir à ce sujet.” {Oh man, Dad would like to know about this.} I mutter, pausing, and then a thought pops into mind.
“But so would Destin.” I whispered, crouched low in the undergrowth. Making up my mind, I turned tail and ran, sprinting through the forest.
I howled, announcing my presence as I sprinted into the school, my claws clicking on the tile as I scrambled around a corner, shifting as I ran.
Peering into the office door, and Destin stood . “What’s up, you obviously found something since you just came in here howling at the top of your lungs.”
I took a breath. “Your not gonna believe this, but I found a shapeshifter.”
