Chapter one
It been a year since Maeve died, she was the love of my life my sunshine in my darkness. She was pregnant when the accident happened. And was gonna give birth to my son, the drunk driver hit us out of no where and we crashed and tumble and Maeve died on impact and so did our son. I was in a comb for four months and missed the funeral of my wife and child.
I was in depression since then and it's been 8 months since I woke up. I couldn't stand to see anyone I knew or our family or friends, so I sold our house and moved somewhere far from everyone worked from home. I barely left my apartment and called my parents once a month to tell them I was still alive.
I drank coffee and ate toast every morning and would work on my laptop for work and didn't really leave my house unless I was going to the gym or grocery shopping. I had one picture left of Maeve and I and it was Our wedding photo. I had it next To my bed on the stand, I looked and talk to to it every morning like she was still here. It's what kept me sane for a bit.
I was taking a break from work when I saw the news talk about how a robot that can be your companion. It will be programmed the way you want and build just how you want it to look. The scientist Dr. Penksi a Russian scientist was introducing the cyborg and it honestly look like a real person. But I honestly thought it was stupid so I turned the tv off and got back to Work.
Later that night I was going to bed so I decide to look on the internet about the cyborgs again and it caught my attention they were really good at hiding the fact they were mechanical. I was truly shocked but yet impressed, it cost a fortune to by one and it wasn't in my budget.
