Shell stuffed his mouth with more of that nasty green edible leaves that humans call lettuces.
He surely didn't enjoy this type of food but sometimes he would eat it when he's sad especially when he gets rejected.
I searched for the prettiest pebble for her for 4 days 56 minutes and 38 seconds and she turned me down!

In fact, it was the 17th time he got rejected. He was almost 18 and still in search of a suitable mate while others had already found their mates at the bare age of 14.
The only reason why he was turned down was because his penguin was a submissive male and the fact he was super tiny and feminine didnt help him at all. With 98% of the female penguin shifters being submissive, he had a hard time trying to find a dominant female penguin to mate.
The one time he succeeded in finding a dominant female penguin shifter, he was immediately rejected after he embarrassed himself by losing the pretty pebble he was going to offer her and also the fact she didnt tolerate crybabies which Shell was.
That incident completely ruined his life as he was now a laughing stock and has been bullied by his schoolmates.

He was certain that by tonight his recent rejection would be spread between his schoolmates and he would be mocked again tomorrow!
Sometimes Shell wished he was a human. Like that he didn't have to deal with finding a mate and be in love with whoever he wants.
But you wouldn't get to eat fishes if you're a human!
His penguin Lolli protested.
Humans can catch fishes and eat them dumbass!

Shell rolled his eyes at Lolli's comment.

Shell let out a heavy sigh. There wasn't anything he can do to prevent him from getting taunted by his bullies.
At least I know I have to bring my first aid kit with me just in case the teasing went overboard again.
At first, Shell was okay with the teasing of his schoolmates but with time since he was mostly quiet with it, they started to physically bully Shell by tripping him or knocking his books off his hands and even sometimes there are days where he would get punched by Dariel, the strongest changeling of his species and the soon to be king of all Penguins.
King my ass! I'm going away as soon as I'm 18! Mama will understand me surely!
With a girlish giggle at this idea, Shell lay on his bed and close his eyes, forgetting completely about the horrible day.
