The citizens of Ardae seem happily oblivious to Radix Malorum’s slow spread of demonic Cimmerii. Darkening the lands like a bleak plague.
Captain Deragan Black continues to woo his mate anew, in each lifetime she re-emerges.
Chavias Derenoe has become Radix’s warlord. All are unaware Chavias found the remnants of the Watcher flock and has led them from Udora Novavax’s hut. Guiding them to sanctuaries close to Forever Knights, knowing they’d have an instinctive draw to protect them. The Forever Knights know nothing of the savage boy Chavias has raised in Radix’s lair, or that Chavias facilitated his escape so he could become Radix’s most formidable foe.
Raese Merlinus has lost his memory. And his mate, Calisto the Water Priestess, was banished outside the realms of time.
Savage Jaxson has taken on a single-handed mission to turn the tide of evil in Ardae.
Sebastian Bodane continues to hold an angry valkyrie in the Forever Knight Stronghold, WaterRose Castle. Happily battling wills with her in the longest game of seduction to hit Ardae’s history books.
Most recently she’s befriended a black panther she calls Quandary. A fitting name since it is certainly Sebastian in his shifted form putting on a little deception in order to get close to her.
The Forever Knights numbers have dwindled since the Great Battle in which Radix bested them in a well-orchestrated ambush. And Radix continues to twist human souls into his black creatures at an expedited rate. Okine, the dark Cimmerii Commander, has a particular knack for finding the weakness in human souls. An incentive for which they’ll turn into soulless wraiths obeying Radix.
The Forever Knights’ remaining hope lay leveraged in the arrival of the Watchers. A lower sect of angels rejoining mankind in an effort to save humanity. But the largest group to ever come through on this plane were lost when Radix stole the map of their locations and rounded them up like sheep to the slaughter. It’s assumed Radix fed on their souls.
Pieces are moving. Souls are salvaged or consumed. Spirits are running. Dragons are flying again and wolves are gathering...
