Michelangelo Spirit Walkers
"I enjoyed the uniqueness of this book. A man waking up in the body of a cat. There was no skimping on the details of a cat's perspective, which I very much enjoyed. I won't give spoilers here, but the magical aspect of the story and the protagonist's journey were an enjoyable adventure to read. Very well written, not too fancy, easy to read quickly. Well done."

"As always I'll start with the things, that I really enjoyed, while reading this book. First of all, I the idea in here was really creative, and I loved the beginning, when I was following Mike's journey, his thought process, the joys and worries he had as a cat. It was humorous and really sweet. Secondly, I loved the backstory of the Gypsies, their origin and the like, the author put a lot of work into research, and I really appreciate that. On the other hand, this novel had it's share of problems, or things that I did not enjoy, some for these might be subjective. In my opinion, the characters could have been deepened with traits, flaws and the like, because to me it was rather hard to relate to them, they seemed empty. Also I believe that Jessica's, Stephyne's and Mike's doubt in Mirela could have grown into something deeper, though it was overlooked as the novel progressed, beside that a lot of other ideas were later left out and unsolved (like when Jessica had an eye for Marko).... Furthermore, the lighter scenes in the novel (where the characters all laughed together) seemed unrealistic to me, perhaps if I would've known the characters more, it would've worked as great relievers from the thrills. Also some of the suspenseful scenes, where something is about to be revealed, were needlessly drawn out. (I struggled with that problem myself, that's why I noticed) This kind of thing kills the atmosphere. Secondly, I don't think, that the genre 'horror' defines this - jump-scares aren't horror. I think this story leans more to the suspense, action genres. Another thing, I want to discuss here, is the writing style, There were a lot of words, that just kept repeating in sentences close to one another, when the author was describing a place or an atmosphere. This made the description rather lacking. Besides that, the missing commas sometimes made the sentences hard to understand. Anyways, thank you for sharing this story, it was still an interesting read and good luck on your other writing projects. ^^"
