A fine balance of good pacing and well-placed details makes this story a real page-turner. "I love this!! Perfect descriptive imagery of the more horror-esque aspects without being gross or off putting, and the writing style is engaging and sucks me right into the story! The characters are great as well, the healer is a great character to tell this story to the audience because he is experiencing this new town just like us-It makes me feel like we’re on this journey and figuring out the mystery of this illness with him. Overall a very well written story with the perfect amount of horror for my tastes, engaging characters, and great nuanced conflict in the background (the two religious doctrines I mentioned in the comments, for example) Well done! :) "

"I liked the book upto chapter 5.; suspense. I did not like the final chapter, too many unexplained things like who is the white-robed lad and what is her role. why is Mateo loosing time/ doesn't he know whats real or not. It is somewhat unsatisfying for me."
