One word: Subtle
"I enjoy the realism of this story. Depression is not just acting out in impulsive ways or acting like a brat to people. It's the subtle things - a messy room, staring at a wall, feeling empty and looking for ways to find that comfort, and always looking back on how much a personality has changed. I also love the simple, subtle hints of Wesley's mental disorder and his backstory. Everything about this is SUBTLE, and that's a good thing. It's not blaring in the reader's face. Not just Oaklyn and Wesley, but this story shows how traumatic events affect everyone differently. The grammar is good, and the story moves pretty well. It can be a little wordy at times, but it doesn't take away from the story. Honestly, I don't mind the wordiness because I can tell it's on purpose to hone in on the dark undertones and create tension. I can't help but wonder what twist there will be and who will be the one to fall in it. I love, love, love!!"
