Chapter 1 - 4 times isn't a coincidence

Coming back from Portobello, I'm in a fabulous mood. I'm cycling back from hanging out with Adrian, so of course, I'm feeling good! I stop to turn my music on for a minute, but I suddenly notice a girl about my age staring at me. She looks away as soon as I notice her. I would have thought nothing of it, but I didn't even move an inch, I only noticed her out of the corner of my eye. She looked away as soon as I simply thought that she was looking at me. When I turned around to face her, she continued walking. I noticed her ears were surprisingly pointed but thought nothing of it. I continued cycling home.

When I arrive home, the first thing I have to do is put my bike back in the shed along with my helmet. As soon as I get in, I go straight up to my room, not bothering to take my shoes or coat off. I immediately jump in my bed and get ready to watch The Next Step on Netflix, when I notice it's really cold in my room. I look around my small room and see that my window is open. So, of course, i go up to close it. I look out to see a boy around my age standing on the street opposite mine, looking up at me. As soon as I glimpse him, he diverts his gaze. He has pointy ears, just as the girl did.
This was my second strange encounter, and I was not going to forget them. But I didn't take any action. It could just be a coincidence.

The next day, I wake up to my alarm going off. I get dressed in 10 minutes and eat my breakfast in 15. I then brush my teeth, grab my bag and coat and head out the door. I walk for about 1 minute until I'm where me and my best friend Mei always meet to walk to school. I check the time to see it's 8:22. 5 seconds later I hear the familiar slamming of a door, and see Mei heading down the street towards me.

We soon meet and start walking towards the school. I'm talking about yesterday when Mei points out someone looking at us from their garden. As soon as I look, though, they look away. They once again have pointed ears. I wait until we're out of earshot to tell Mei about the 2 other times I spotted people watching me, both of which had pointed ears. She quite rightly gets a little worried. We decide to watch out, and if we notice one more person, we will question them.

When we arrive at school, I get called out of class in tutor.

"Alia, meet Christy. She's new to this school, starting today. Would you show her around?" Ms Kenny asks.

"of course, I'd love to," I say, excited to make a new friend.

I show Christy into my tutor class and introduce her to my friends Emily, David, and Blake. As I'm doing so, I notice that she has pointy ears. I decide to keep an eye on her.

At lunchtime, me and my friends play 'who is most likely to'. I like this idea because I think it will help Christy get to know me. Christy also seems to like the idea. I wonder if it's because she wants to know more about me, to tell her friends.

"who is most likely to accidentally fall into a ditch" Blake Reads from their phone.

Everyone immediately chooses Blake. They can be very clumsy.
"who is most likely to become a millionaire by making their own business" they read

Everyone decides that Emily and David are the candidates for this one.

"who is most likely to run away to the woods" Blake reads

Of course, everyone chooses me. I love nature. It's so beautiful, and strong and I bet most plants are smarter than humans. I would love to live in the woods. And that's no secret

"who is most likely to leak all their secrets to the wrong person?"

"Blake" Nicola says. "they'd easily do a mistake like that. "

"no, I think it's Alia," David says.

Emily and Mei agree.

"Alia tells everyone everything" Mei points out.

I agree with Mei. I look around to see Christy writing notes in a pocket notebook. I pull Mei to the side and explain my suspicions about Christy. Mei agrees that it is suspicious.
Christy saw us and came up to join the conversation, but the bell rang before she could say anything. Saved by the bell.

For the rest of the day, I keep an eye on Christy while also making friends with her. It isn't all too hard, she isn't the shy type and is also keen to create a friend.
Nothing too strange happens for the rest of the day.

I wake up at 7 the next day, earlier than usual. I'm about to go back to sleep for 30 mins when I notice I'm not tired. So, I get dressed. Then I head downstairs, to eat breakfast.

When I'm ready for school, I exit the house and start running. I'm late, despite my early wake-up. But... Wait a sec. I have never run so fast in my life! I stop, and start again. Yup, I'm definitely running twice as fast as I've seen anyone run. Faster than my dogs! How is this even possible? Soon, I see Mei waiting for me. As soon as she sees me running to her, her eyes go wide. I stop right next to her.

"what the fuck just happened? How the fuck did you do that?" she demands. I could tell she would have shouted, had we not been on a public street.

"I don't know. I woke up, got ready for school, and now I find I can run faster than humanly possible." I say.

"First you seem to be watched by random people with pointed ears, and now you're super fast. This is too weird. Tell me if anything else happens, please?"
I agree. We arrive at my tutor class, and split ways.

I get through the school day with nothing unusual happening, except for P. E. Luckily we were playing tennis, so there wasn't too much running, but my reactions were so fast, no one could match them. I easily became the best in the class. I was even better than the teachers! People looked at me strange after that, but thankfully didn't question me.

I was also spacing out a lot, so much is happening and I have no idea what to think of it! I can't decide whether this extra agility thing is good or bad. While it has its advantages, I can't control it, and people seem to be a little scared of me. I suspect it must have something to do with the people who are following me, but I don't know how. Maybe these people are elves? Or am I just coming up with obsurd ideas with the stress of it all?

After school, I go to Portobello to clear my head. I leave early because it starts to rain. As I'm cycling home, I look round and notice the streets are surprisingly empty, even for a rainy day. But when I look back, I see a single person standing right in my path, facing me. I manage to stop just inches away from them, I nearly ran them over!

"Excuse me, could you please move so that I can cycle on? " I ask, slightly annoyed at the stupidity of standing in the path of a bike.

The mystery person smiles and pulls their hood down, and says "you should come with me".

so far its pretty good, I can tell this is going to be a fast paced book but also I would like to say, that you should take things at pace where things happen one at a time. so when you said you saw ppl looking at the girl she got suspicious, but on a second note try painting an image in the readers mind, try showing instead of telling.
And another thing is the description, for all we know is that the persons have pointy ears but is that all?? This is your fantasy and hey you can put in as many descriptions as possible, it adds more to the book.
And as I was saying in about the pace, three different things happened in this one chapter
1. she saw ppl with pointy ears staring at her
2. she miraculously start having superhuman speed
3. she meets someone else suspicious..(what made this guy more suspicious than the other persons with the pointy ears)
