There didn't seem to be any transaction between the scenes though; I kept wondering how James got from one scene to the next and who the new stage of actors were. An Amazing New Take On The Genre
"I had set myself up to enjoy another run-of-the-mill walking dead post-apocalyptic tale. But what an unexpected journey this story took me on. There was so much foreshadowing to bigger and better things later in the story and incredible character development, especially Cecilia. It isn't easy to deeply develop a character that doesn't speak, but Jacob Harris pulled this off exceptionally well. I found myself captivated by this woman and have to put her into my list of all-time favorite characters despite her lack of dialogue. But I think it was genius to do this with her. I think it would have taken away from her amazing character if she did speak. Of course, she doesn't stay silent forever. And when she does speak, it makes you realize you had no idea what kind of story you were actually reading, and I loved that twist. I highly recommend this story to not only fans of the horror/zombie genre, but to fans of well-crafted stories that will keep you guessing and shock you to your very core."
So Many Twists
"I read some of the other reviews and I noticed that they made mention of the THREE WORDS. I have to say that this was one of the most clever plot devices I have seen in recent memory. For the duration of the story, we readers are left wondering what that means, then we hear them, we hear those three words, and things are never the same. Which leads me to my take on this brilliant work of fiction. You're going to think there's something wrong with me, but I believe this story to be a love story. No, not a romantic sort of love, but a love that is far deeper than that. You have to read the book to realize just how deep and powerful love can be to understand why certain things happen in the story. I'm so glad I took a chance on this story, I really, truly am. I highly recommend it to anyone who not only loves zombies or horror, but for anyone who craves an amazing story. You might not agree with my take on the love aspect, but I think after reading it, you'll understand where I'm coming from, and some of you might might even agree with me."
One of the Best Books I've Ever Read
"Yeah, I admit it, I cried at the end of this book. I got so involved with the characters that things happened so fast and furiously at the end that the incredible climax really caught me by surprise. I really enjoyed the roller coaster of emotions this book sent me on. By the end, my mind was left spinning by some of the revelations that came to light that had me re-thinking everything I had been thinking throughout the story. Such a cleverly written plot. It says a lot about the author when you've got a world filled with zombies and they take a back seat to the other characters. It really speaks to the talent of Jacob Harris. And I love how despite such a fulfilling ending, I'm still wanting more. I wish this story could have gone on forever. I felt such a connection to the characters and I selfishly didn't want to let them go."
