Flora was finally alone. her parents left to go to some important meeting to discuss her future now that she graduated from school,

I can’t help but envy my friends who don’t have the responsibility that I do, but today none of that matters.

Flora takes the sharp scissors in her hands and does the thing her mother always told her not to do...

She cuts off her long brown hair

she feels so much lighter but she isn’t done yet

Flora stepped out of her room and walked over to her palace’s lake, a place that’s well hidden from prying eyes and took her clothes off, and went in for a swim. Flora was floating around and enjoying the small amount of freedom she has tonight, she looks up at the sky to see the moon and stars, suddenly her eyes see a shooting star and took her chance and made a wish

" little star in the sky please give me the freedom I crave along with letting me find my soulmate” She closes her eyes and stays floating for a few minutes to enjoy the moonlight Flora then turns around alarmed because hearing noises coming from the trees covering the secluded spot” Who’s out there I demand you to show yourself!“A tall handsome man was emerging from the trees” Sorry” he walks out with his hands up ” I didn’t mean to scare you I was looking for a place so can relax

“Who are you?” demanding to know why he was here.

“I’m Kim Taehyung I just arrived at the palace I was just wondering around I d-don’t know someone was here, I’m sorry,” said Taehyung now looking at the trees

Flora steps out of the water and slips on her black dress” It’s safe to turn around now “Taehyung slowly turns around looking at Flora Both of them just stare at each other for a minute under the night sky. Taehyung stares into Flora’s dark brown eyes reflecting the light from the moon. Flora can’t help but stare at the man’s cute little mole he has placed on his nose.” So um what brings you here,” breaking the silence. My parents rarely ever invite people over as they mostly travel for meetings and I know most of the royals my age and I’ve never seen him before.

"My parents were called to come so they brought me along, Queen Flores called to discuss important matters and somehow I managed to get away from that meeting,” Taehyung said with a smile on his face Does he not know who I am?

“do you work here?” he questions. This man doesn’t know who I am, and honestly, I’m not mad about it, tonight I get to be a regular girl. “YES! I work here. I work in the garden making sure everything is pretty and aesthetically pleasing for the royals’ ’I say with a huge smile on my face. I’m not surprised if I end up scaring him off I look like a crazy woman” Oh that’s cool, well you did a really good job it’s extremely beautiful here.“Thank you” I’ll make sure I tell the real gardener that I think to myself

"I can give you a tour if you’ll like this palace has a beautiful greenhouse”

I know this because I spend most of my time there tending to the flowers

I mentally scold myself I always forget how cold it gets at night and it doesn’t help that my dress is damp, I try to hide the fact that I’m cold but I start to shake a little Taehyung took notice “Here take this ” he takes off his cardigan and puts over my exposed shoulders” Thank you” we were on a walk and we talked about very mundane things like our favorite songs and what book we liked. slowly we reached the back of the palace where I was able to slip away to make my big getaway tonight

then I hear my mother yelling “OH MI HIJA (oh my daughter!)” she yells running down the stone pathway with the rest of the staff, I’m going to safely assume they couldn’t find me and my mother started to freak out, finally reaching me, she pulls me into a hug straggling me to death” Yes mother I’m fine, I’m alive see” saying with very little air reaching my lungs

She releases me from the constructing hug but still holds my arms, that’s when she notices my hair. Her eye open wide and it looks like she is about to explode with anger but she holds it in as she notices a very confused Taehyung next to me.” Mi Amor (my love) what did you do to your long beautiful hair,” she says while clearing throat.

“Uh, I cut it” I shrugged know that’s the only thing I could do “I needed a change”.She takes a deep breath in and finally takes her hands away from my arms trying to compose herself “It’s okay, I’ll have someone fix your hair tomorrow morning, and never give me a scare like that ever again,” said with a strict tone.

“I won’t” I look down feeling guilty, My mother clears her throat and turns her head to Taehyung who had a confused face because the Queen was treating the gardener as if she were her daughter...

Finally, he was able to connect the dots.

“Taehyung I see you have met my very rambunctious daughter Flora” It takes him a while to respond “Uhh yes! She’s very pleasant to be around. She gave me a tour of your lovely garden” he lets go a small chuckle.

The realization hit me, I didn’t even ask who he was ” wait... Taehyung who are you exactly” I turn now looking at him confused “Flora don’t say nonsense like that this is prince Kim Taehyung the youngest son of the Kim family” my mother interrupts

saying my eyes almost fell off my face is an understatement

I just stare at him and him me we were both shocked

“Well Flora” my mother snaps me back to reality ” get out that dress and get dry, you might get sick and Taehyung, Flora can lead you to your room after she’s in new clothing, your mother is staying in the palace for two more days and has requested for you to stay with her”

Changing into my burgundy silk pajama set, I walked out to lead Taehyung to his room, the walk there was quiet. I think we’re both trying to settle from the shock. I figured he was someone important since his parents had to come but I didn’t think he was a prince. Lost in my thoughts I almost walk past his room “uh here’s where you’ll be staying” my lips form a line “Thank you” we stare at each other for a bit ” so um you know I enjoyed your company tonight,” I say trying to break the awkward silence “So did I felt like a normal person for once,” he said rubbing his neck “Well the night doesn’t have to end here,” I say with a small smile ” if you’re up for it, the kitchen has really good ice cream if you’d lik...”

“Yes! I’d love too” he said showing his cute boxy smile
