That is what Teddy woke to several weeks later.

She scratches through the thin material of the body bag and unzips it, revealing the ceiling of her drawer.

The redhead bangs on the metal, demanding to be let out. Did she die? What happened?

The nurse on duty hears the banging and opens the door to her freedom.

Using her one chance to escape, she explodes out of the enclosed area, surprising the innocent nurse.

"Y-you're supposed to be dead."

"Well, I'm not." She shivers. "Do you have any clothes I can borrow?" Teddy covers her nude figure.

"Uh, yes." He politely averts his eyes and exits the morgue.

Teddy takes her free time to examine the papers on the other dead people. One of them being Allison Argent, at least she thought it was her best friend who had been stabbed in the chest by an Oni. And she almost lost it emotionally.

"I found a gown. That's all we have." The guy hands her the flimsy piece of fabric and turns around while she changes.

"You wanted to see me?" Melissa McCall steps into the morgue and almost drops her coffee. "Oh my god, Teddy. You're alive."

"I'm gonna go." The male nurse scoots out of the room.

Teddy awkwardly fiddles with the hem of her gown. "Hi."

"This is way past my supernatural knowledge." Melissa answers honestly. "How are you alive?"

"How did I die is my first question." Teddy crosses her arms.

"Your body gave up on you. But your mother said you were evolving and I didn't know what that meant till now."

"I look pretty good for a dead bitch." She smiles.

"That you do. Clearer skin, a brighter smile. You look healthier."

"Can I leave?" She asks, impatient to get out of the sterile area.

"Allow me to check you out first." Melissa pats the metal table and Teddy hops up. "Breathe in, breathe out." The cold stethoscope sends a shiver down her spine.

"That's freezing." She shivers.

"Breathing appears to be better." Melissa moves the back of the gown away and sees two slits in her back that seem mildly concerning to the human.

"Your heartbeat is mimicking a nervous person. What's wrong?" Teddy realizes.

"N-nothing's wrong. You're all good to go."

"Okay. Guess I'll be seeing you later." She takes the spare sweatshirt and pants from her outstretched hands and departs to the restroom.
