Sally's Story

My name is Sally and It’s a normal day today, I'm going to sign up for my first day of high school. Why am I doing it you ask and not my parents? Well, that’s because I don’t have parents, I don’t know how they died all that I know is that somebody killed them. They died right after I was born. Okay I know what you're thinking, I should have gone to a foster home or a person in my family, well one; I'm an only child I’m just telling you that, now for the answer to your theory well, I did go to my uncle (Just so you know all of my other relatives died But, I’m not going to get into all that.) But my uncle died of old age when I was 3 and ever since then I've been hiding. I'm 16 years old now. and I don’t have to hide anymore, because they’re not looking for me, why you ask? Well, I’ll tell you all that later, for right now, I’m going to school. I walked into a red brick building then went inside and went up to a counter. “Are you here for sign-ins?” asks a kind lady sitting at the counter. “Yes.” I answer. “Okay, First name?” “Sally.” “last name?” “Uh…” The reason I'm not answering is complicated, could you help me come up with a fake last name? Never mind, I just thought of one. “Sky.” “Sally Sky, what’s your power?” Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you I'm signing up for a Super school and when I say Super, I mean anybody with powers. “Umm-” “Do you have powers?” “Yes- No... Uh…” “You have to have powers to sign into a Superhero school.” she tells me. “I’m not exactly a Superhero.” I say. “Then why are you here?” she asks. I didn't stick around to answer, I went running and then went into the closest classroom available. I looked around, it’s a HUGE classroom with about 150 teens (Which I expected because this is the only Superhero school in North America.) I looked at a holographic board and all that I could think is: I hate science. I went into science Class! That’s the worst one I could have walked into! I started to slowly and quietly walk out, (Because they’re in the middle of a lesson) But, the teacher caught me. “Not so fast, what’s your name?” He asks. “I’m Sally Sky. I’m new” I answered. “Would you please sit-down Sally Sky?” I took a seat. “We were just talking about how science has to do with powers. Do you have an idea?” “Does it have to do with significant physical alterations?” “Umm… Exactly.” So, science went fine after that. Then I followed everyone to the cafeteria. It looked like a regular school cafeteria except it’s way bigger. It has about 500 teens. And all the tables were full except one with only one girl in it, she had blond hair. I went to that table and sat. Once I was seated, I got a closer look at her and noticed she had blue eyes. “Hello.” She says she had a soft kind voice. “Hi.” “You’re the new kid, right?” “Yeah.” “What’s your name? My name’s Ashley.” “Mine’s Sally.” “Nice to meet you, Sally.” “You too, Ashley.” “Why are you wearing sunglasses inside?” She asks. “Umm….” Oh, I forgot to tell you what I look like. I have white shoulder-length straight hair, I always wear sunglasses, always wear black, I wear white tennis shoes, and I NEVER smile. (Or Frown) Now for my eye color, I should tell you, and I’m going to, Okay uh, my whole eyes are black. All of it, that’s why I wear sunglasses, so my eyes don’t attract attention. But I’m not about to tell her that, so I say, “Because, I have a black eye.” Okay, I know it’s not nice to lie to a friend but I'm not really her friend, I just met her. “How’d you get it?” She asks. Come on! Why can’t just lie without getting questioned some more? “Umm… So, this is a Superhero school, right?” I say, changing the subject. “Yeah, didn’t your Parents tell you that when they signed you up?” “I signed myself up because I don’t have parents.” I say. “Oh, I’m sorry for bringing the subject up. I don’t have parents either.” After that we both ate in silence, that was until a tall girl who’s wearing high heels walked up. She looks older than me, but I can’t really tell from all the makeup she’s wearing. “Oh, Look the new kid.” She says she has a WHOLE LOT of sass in her voice. I just ignored her and kept on eating until she grabbed my sunglasses, once she took them, I closed my eyes so nobody would see them. “Oh, I’m sorry do you need these?” “No, I don’t need them to take you out.” “What, are you about to use powers? Because you can’t on me, I have a shield.” “I don’t have powers.” “Then how do you expect to take me out?” She asks. “There are other ways.” I answer. “Ashley, did you make friends with this puny girl?” “Yes but, I don’t think she’s puny I think she’s cool.” Ashley answered. “Then why don’t you help her?” “I don’t have powers either. And what would I do with this popcorn and soda? Oh, I know!” The next thing I heard was the girl scream and I hear a liquid splash on the ground. (And I smell popcorn and Cherry Soda.) “How dare you dump soda on me?” “Easy, like this.” The next thing I heard was a liquid splash to the ground again, and the girl screamed even louder. “Ashley Get my sunglasses.” I say. There was silence for a little then Ashley says. “She broke them.” “WHAT!?!?” I open my eyes; I can see everybody looking at us. “Ashley Leave now!” I say. “What’s up with your eyes Sally?” “I’ll explain later go!” Once Ashley left the room the girl says: “If you don’t have powers then, what are you? Some kind of freak?” “You’re never going to find out.” I answered. Right then I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, people were just looking around and all their eyes were silver. I closed my eyes then opened them again and right then all their eyes turned back to the color they’re supposed to be then I quickly closed my eyes again. “Oh, Hello, are you the new kid? Why am I wet?! And why do I smell like cherry soda!?!” The Girl asks. And right then I knew it had worked, I erased that moment from all their memories.
