Prologue
“This is it. The southern region is a small country. We will wipe them off in no time! For our Emperor!”
The Calvary captain shouts.
His soldiers roared.
“Eyes front!”
He yelled.
-This is the last place, and we will win for our Emperor!
The leader runs his hours first as his cue.
His cavalry soldiers followed.
Swish!
“?”
The second captain, who was behind the captain, could not believe his eyes when he saw what’s just happened.
His captain’s head falls off right in front of him.
His voice was shaken.
“C....captain!”
Swish!
The next moment he heard the sound of swords swishing at him, he thought-- it must be a black demon fade away.
The two strongest leaders were defeated in second, and the dark shadow rise. It was a fully armed man with a sword.
“Dark Damon!! R..retreat!!”
Before even the commander shouts, his soldiers already started running away.
“Cowards!”
One brave soldier groaned.
He was a well-known leader of the swordsman in the central government.
He sees his soldiers are stabbed and slashed with the enemy in front of him one by one, collapsing.
He didn’t know the small southern clan is so strong.
He thought the Central is predominant.
“Damn it, The Dark Damon.”
He gritted his teeth.
The Dark Damon is a swordsman whose whole body is covered with black armor. Also, his face is fully covered with a demonish face mask. People would say that his face under the mask looks like a demon, although nobody wouldn’t know how much of it is true.
“I am the strongest one! I will kill the Dark Damon!”
He gets himself fired up.
-I am the best swordsman in the central!
He runs his horse, dashes forward to the Dark Damon.

A small banquet was held at the base for the victory.
Tomorrow everyone can go back to the castle, all soldiers who survived the battle, laughing and drinking cheerfully.
“....It ended all too soon. The Central is all wimps, cowards, and... rotten. They ruled the continent too long. It’s time for a change. The old fag emperor needs to go.”
In the victory banquet, King Louis spoke in a good mood. He visited his soldiers at the front to provide comfort with food and drink for the victory.
Tomorrow he will go back to his country with his army to show the power to his people.
King Louis was happy.
-Conquering the central government is not a dream.
He shipped his wine happily.
Although the southern clan is not officially recognized as a central government member yet, they gained power during these ten years. The South of the Kingdom’s popularity has gained rapidly with their rich natural resources with national influence. Now the Central government can’t ignore them, so they ask King Louis if the South wants to join the government.
When King Louis refused to join the alliance, and the Central declared war.
“This war is over soon. I sent the letter to the Emperor to agree soberly to conclude the peace treaty, and it seems their reaction is not bad.”
The barbarian ‘King’ Louis giggled.
“There, you should drink more. I always appreciate your achievement, Prachaya.”
He gazed at the man to pour the wine.
The man who has sharp eyes and olive skin drank them all once and had his King pour the wine back.
King continued.
“Parachaya! Don’t worry about your clan! Because Kai-the official successor, is back to the clan as a leader. You can retire in peace.”
The King looked at a beautiful man with long blond hair next to him, said.
“Kai, I’m looking forward to your success.”
“Yes, Your Highness, I won’t let you down.”
Kai smiled.
King was satisfied with his answer and looked at the handsome man in front.
“Parachaya. As you know, your brother has the strongest loyalty for my Kingdom and me. Kai served me long enough, so I should return him to his people and reward him with celebrating his marriage. He will marry my dear daughter. It would be best if you celebrated his new chapter in life. Never dream that you can be Kai. He is a special man. ”
King glared at him.
Parachaya vowed with apathy looks.
He doesn’t want any fame or wealth. He wants to live a simple life with a little land plow a field...
“How is this?”
King lifted Kai’s chin with one finger.
“I am honored, my King.”
Kai smiled beautifully at his King.
He lifts a wineglass to celebrate his brother’s future and chug in once with a blank face.
He didn’t want anything that his brother’s.
Kai is his older brother and King Louis’s favorite since he was 15 years old. When King saw him for the first time, he wanted to keep him, so Kai became his while King demand another son from Cabello for the sake of their family name to the battlefield, and the choice fell on was Kai’s half brother Parachaya.
When he decapitated his opponent’s general on the battlefield, he was only 12 years old.
Since then, he never fails his mission as the shield of his country, as the Dark Demon knight.
Parachaya felt a little tired to stay at the banquet. He needed fresh air. He picked up his sword and helmet and got up.
“!”
He wanted to laugh at himself sadly.
-Plow a field? I only know how to fight, after all.
He walked out to the field and stood at the campground, feeling the warm night breeze.
He shipped his wine and sighed.
“Singto? Are you mad?”
Parachaya turned around in the direction of the voice.
-Singto...
It’s been a while since someone called him by his nickname.
“Kai...what are you doing?”
“Eh? I just wanted to talk to my younger brother.”
Kai smiled at him.
Singto looked at him.
Kai hasn’t changed much since the last time he saw the castle about 5 years ago.
His gorgeous blond hair with blue eyes and delicate features.
“Ohhh, are you mad at me? Because I will take over your position?”
He pouts.
“No.”
Singto shook his head.
He knew since the day he was born. He is a shadow of Kai. His father taught him since he reached the age of reason.
The second-born can not be the true heir but shall fulfill the duty as the Cabello.
“I miss you...I haven’t seen you so long....you should help me to protect our clan.”
Kai said.
“...Uhm...Thank you. That would be fun.”
Singto knew sooner or later; the Slay King will send Singto to the battlefield again until he gets killed.
But right now, Simgto can lie for his brother.
“Singto....why are you still wearing your armor? It’s a banquet. Oh no, you even brought your mask! Look at that! It is so scary. You should change your face protector.”
When Kai is about to continue the conversation, Singto quickly shushed him.
“What is it?”
He tilted his head.
Singto pointed at the forest.
Kai saw the light in there.
“Is that...thunder?”
Kai looked at him worriedly.
“.......”
Singto put on the full-face helmet and turned around.
“You should go back to the camp.”
“Where are you going?”
Kai said.
“I will go and check.”
As he said, he was already dashed to the light. Soon his figure vanished in the dark.
Kai stood there for a while to see if his brother comes back soon.
He doesn’t know how long it has been. The black sky suddenly turned momentarily deep blue as if on a bright day.
“What the...”
The vibration on the ground hit him next, and the sound of an explosion in the sky.
Then the silence fell back.
Kai couldn’t believe his eyes because the forest has vanished.
There were only bare battlegrounds as far as his eyes could reach.
It’s all vanished with a strange light.
“Singto...?”
Kai was struck dumb by sight in front of him for a long time.
