Chapter 1

August 27th, 1891

“James!” A very pregnant Lily Potter came hobbling up to her husband. “What?” “I think my water broke.” James sent her a panicked look. “Wha-” Lily rolled her eyes, looking very much in pain. “Call Sirius to take care of Harry, and let’s go now you idiot!” “Alright, come on.”

***

After telling Sirius that he would be fine with his godson (which involved quite a bit of yelling on Lily’s part,) the husband and wife finally made it to St. Mungos, where Lily gave birth to a healthy baby girl, who they named Livia Lily Potter.

Lily had finally convinced James to make up with her old friend Severus, and the pair named him godfather to Livia, much to James’ resentment and Lily’s happiness at being reunited with her old friend.

And this is where our story begins, dear readers, with the second and youngest child of Lily and James Potter.

The Morning of October 31st, 1891

James Potter sat down on the couch next to his kids, chuckling as they babbled to each other with what adults call baby talk.

Harry could speak, of course, but he preferred laughing with his sister in gibberish instead of speaking incoherent English with his father, which James found offending and adorable all at once.

Lily smiled sadly at her family seated on the couch and turned to James with tears in her eyes. “Do we really have to do this?” James got off his seat and hugged her from behind. “Dumbledore said it’s for the best. Voldemort is after Harry, it’s not safe for Liv.”

“But what if something happens to us-” “Nothing’s going to happen love.” Lily sighed. “Alright. I wish Sev could take care of her.” James wrinkled his nose. “Don’t say it.”

“Fine. Molly loves Livia though, she’ll be alright.” “I hope so.”

They just didn’t know how soon their children would be separated.

The Night of October 31st, 1891

“Lily, it’s him! Take the kids and go!”

“Avada Kedavra!”

James’ body collapsed in the hallway as Voldemort swept past him.

“Not Harry and Livia! Please!”

“Move aside.” “Please, I’ll do anything!” “Avada Kedavra!”

Lily’s body crumpled.

Voldemort walked up to the crib where the two children lay, and looked down upon them.

Harry was looking up at the man with a confused smile, but Livia was screaming and crying, as if she knew her parents were gone, and that they weren’t coming back.

Voldemort pointed his long wand at the children, and muttered the killing curse.

The house burst with green light, as Voldemort was vanquished by none other than two young babies.

The Point of View Of Albus Dumbledore (October 31st, 1981):

Albus landed outside the community of Godric’s Hollow, praying that the rumors were incorrect.

That Harry Potter, a young child, had taken down Voldemort, losing Lily and James Potter, as well as his newborn sister in the process.

Albus came face to face with the house. It was completely obliterated.

He sighed sadly and sent a Patronus to Hagrid immediately, to come and pick up Harry.

Albus’ head snapped up as he heard two cries of babies echoing from the house.

Two.

As in Harry and Livia.

Albus strode quickly into the house, wincing at the dead bodies of his two marvelous students, and continued into the nursery, where he found both children crying hysterically.

His attention went straight to the scar on Harry’s forehead, and the not too visible one on Livia’s collarbone.

Albus looked around the room, his eyes landing on the table in the far right, which sported a letter on it.

His eyes skimmed over the words;

Dear Molly,

As you know, Dumbledore asked us to move Livia to somewhere safe.

Please take care of her, as if she was your own child.

I am forever grateful to you.

Lots of love,

~ Lily

Albus looked over at Livia again, and back at the letter, knowing what he was about to do would take away the only link both of the kids had to each other, but it had to be done.

With a soft sigh, Albus took Livia and the letter, and apparated away to the Weasley household.

And just like that, the Potter family was ripped apart.

September 1st, 1991

Before they knew it, Livia was finally going to Hogwarts. She was a year higher than she was supposed to be, but due to her August birthday, Dumbledore pulled some strings, much to the sadness of Ginny.

“But why does she get to go? She’s still 10, like me!” Ginny whined at the station. “Now now, Ginny, you’ll be able to go to Hogwarts next year.” Livia simpered, grinning. “Shut up-”

“Excuse me? Where can I find platform 9 and 3 quarters?” A boy with lopsided glasses and jet black hair asked Mrs. Weasley, who was shaking her head the the two girls, grinning.

This boy looked very familiar to Livia. Almost like her brother, who she only had distant memories of.

She shrugged it off. After years of looking for your famous brother, the savior of the Wizarding World, you don’t really have that high expectations anymore.

Livia ran through the wall with Ginny, and smiled at the scarlet steam engine, finally going ON it instead of watching other people board it.

“Come on Livia, Ron! Ginny, we solemnly swear to send you a Hogwarts toilet seat.” Fred and George grinned.

Ginny looked gleeful. “Really?” “No they will not, right?” Molly gave the twins a sharp look. “Kidding mum!”

“You better be. Now go on, take care of Ron and Livia, have fun!” “Bye!” The four jumped onto the Hogwarts Express as the whistle sounded throughout the station.

“Cmon Ron, let’s go find compartments!” Livia grabbed him and steered him away. Ron shook his head in exasperation. “You’re an idiot.” “Says the one who bought their 10 year old rat.”

“Good point. Let’s go.”

The two kids finally found a compartment, and in it, the same boy who Mrs. Weasley had helped.

Ron popped his head in. “Excuse me, mind if we take seats here? Everywhere else is full.” The boy perked up. “Sure.” “Thanks.”

Ron and Livia slid into the compartment and took seats across from the boy.

“Ron Weasley.”

“Harry Potter.”

Livia’s head shot up as Ron looked at her as well. Harry looked confused. “What’s wrong?”

“You don’t by any chance happen to have a long lost sister of some sort, do you?”

“Um yeah, I think so. Her name was Livia, my aunt mentioned her once. Why, what’s your name?”

Livia and Ron exchanged looks again, before she answered. “Livia. Livia Potter.”
