Battle of Bands
âYou insufferable git!â Juliet shouted, stomping down the stairs.
âOuch Jules,â Fred fake whined, following closely behind her.
Downstairs, the remaining Weasley children were gathered around their breakfast listening to get details on the latest Fred and Juliet fight.
âItâs the third time this week, and itâs only Tuesday,â Lee said scribbling furiously on his homework.
âWhat do you think he did this time?â Ginny whispered across the table to the others.
âCling-wrap on the toilet seat?â Harry offered tinkering with his broom.
âPuking pastel in her tea,â Ron spoke between spoonfuls of breakfast cereal.
âActually,â Hermione corrected, âhe said she had a crappy music taste,â walking from the living room reading over a piece of parchment.
âWhy does she give a damn what he thinks,â George said into his coffee mug.
âMight have something to do with this.â Hermoine said, raising an eyebrow and dropping the flyer, before it even hit the table Ron and Harry scrambled for the scrap nearly knocking over their breakfast.
âA battle of the bands? At Hogwarts?â Ginny said snatching the paper and skimming the page, âsays the frogs in the frog choir are retiring, so theyâll need a replacement to play at quidditch games and school functions,â she laughed.
âThatâs bloody brilliant!â Ron yelled âLets sign up!â
âThatâs likely,â George chuckled, taking the paper from Ginny.
âWell come on it might be fun, besides the more we have to distract us the less time there is for something to go wrong with you-know-who,â Harry said pushing his broom aside to get a better look.
âI could use something to do in between quidditch practices,â Ginny grinned.
âWhatâre you a lot looking at,â Fred roared, coming up behind George.
âBattle of the bands?â Juliet questioned.
âWinner plays at quidditch games?! We could easily win that!â Fred said, nudging George. âImagine especially if we got Lee,â gesturing to his friend at the other end of the table.
âOh yeah like you and your âcrappyâ guitar playing would get past the first round,â Juliet scoffed.
âSounds like a challenge Jules,â George said, raising an eyebrow.
âMaybe it is,â Juliet said, rolling her eyes.
âOk me, George and Lee vs. whatever poor souls you can get to play with you,â Fred said moving toward her.
âDeal,â Juliet hummed towards Fred, causing him to step back, âwho wants to play with me?â She smiled turning to the table.
âOh come on you think any of them have the guts to go against us,â Fred laughed.
âIâll play with you Jules.â Ginny said, standing up next to her, âany chance I can get to go against these two idiots.â
âYeah, weâll play too,â Ron said, pulling Harry up by his shirt collar.
âUh yeah, yes weâll play.â Harry sputtered.
âWell, what about you Hermione? Who do you want to play for?â George said, leaning on his elbows.
âI wonât be participating, I donât care much for the music any of you play,â Hermione said, picking up her school books and walking back into the living room.
