Battle of the bands

Summary

After an announcement that Hogwarts' famed frog choir will be retiring a 'Battle of the Bands' is held to see who will replace it. When childhood friends Fred and Juliet decide to put their competitive natures to use problems quickly arise. I left out major descriptive factors for the original character so that you can imagine her how you'd like, save for the fact that she is in Slytherin, little to no other description is included. This story was written with help of a friend who without her editing abilities this story would not be readable, That being said it's short and already completed but will be uploaded in separate parts as they undergo editing. Fred x Original character, Draco x original character. Some chapters include explicit scenes, language and songs and are not recommended for younger readers. Characters and Songs are not my own, no JKR or Tom support here. This is a song fic while knowing/istening to the songs while reading are not required important lyrics are included in the text and are vital to the story

Battle of Bands

“You insufferable git!” Juliet shouted, stomping down the stairs.

“Ouch Jules,” Fred fake whined, following closely behind her.

Downstairs, the remaining Weasley children were gathered around their breakfast listening to get details on the latest Fred and Juliet fight.

“It’s the third time this week, and it’s only Tuesday,” Lee said scribbling furiously on his homework.

“What do you think he did this time?” Ginny whispered across the table to the others.

“Cling-wrap on the toilet seat?” Harry offered tinkering with his broom.

“Puking pastel in her tea,” Ron spoke between spoonfuls of breakfast cereal.

“Actually,” Hermione corrected, “he said she had a crappy music taste,” walking from the living room reading over a piece of parchment.

“Why does she give a damn what he thinks,” George said into his coffee mug.

“Might have something to do with this.” Hermoine said, raising an eyebrow and dropping the flyer, before it even hit the table Ron and Harry scrambled for the scrap nearly knocking over their breakfast.

“A battle of the bands? At Hogwarts?” Ginny said snatching the paper and skimming the page, “says the frogs in the frog choir are retiring, so they’ll need a replacement to play at quidditch games and school functions,” she laughed.

“That’s bloody brilliant!” Ron yelled “Lets sign up!”

“That’s likely,” George chuckled, taking the paper from Ginny.

“Well come on it might be fun, besides the more we have to distract us the less time there is for something to go wrong with you-know-who,” Harry said pushing his broom aside to get a better look.

“I could use something to do in between quidditch practices,” Ginny grinned.

“What’re you a lot looking at,” Fred roared, coming up behind George.

“Battle of the bands?” Juliet questioned.

“Winner plays at quidditch games?! We could easily win that!” Fred said, nudging George. “Imagine especially if we got Lee,” gesturing to his friend at the other end of the table.

“Oh yeah like you and your ‘crappy’ guitar playing would get past the first round,” Juliet scoffed.

“Sounds like a challenge Jules,” George said, raising an eyebrow.

“Maybe it is,” Juliet said, rolling her eyes.

“Ok me, George and Lee vs. whatever poor souls you can get to play with you,” Fred said moving toward her.

“Deal,” Juliet hummed towards Fred, causing him to step back, “who wants to play with me?” She smiled turning to the table.

“Oh come on you think any of them have the guts to go against us,” Fred laughed.

“I’ll play with you Jules.” Ginny said, standing up next to her, “any chance I can get to go against these two idiots.”

“Yeah, we’ll play too,” Ron said, pulling Harry up by his shirt collar.

“Uh yeah, yes we’ll play.” Harry sputtered.

“Well, what about you Hermione? Who do you want to play for?” George said, leaning on his elbows.

“I won’t be participating, I don’t care much for the music any of you play,” Hermione said, picking up her school books and walking back into the living room.
