Undertale

At the time, humans and monsters ruled the Earth. One day, humans attacked the monsters abruptly and mercilessly, out of fear of their only weakness: having their SOUL absorbed by a monster.

Monsters were too weak to put up a fight; the soul of nearly every monster combined is only just as strong as the power of one human SOUL. Countless monsters were massacred, without a single human SOUL taken. Few monsters survived, Eventually, the monsters surrendered, and the humans emerged victorious. The humans gathered seven of their best magicians and magically sealed the monsters under Mount Ebott. People would go explore Mount Ebott and, eventually the humans had to claim Mount Ebott as a danger zone. It was rumored whoever went to the mountain never returned. I know this story far too well because, I was told at the orphanage the one rule. Never go to Mount Ebott.

I awoke on a very dull morning as my dark messy brown hair attacked my face. Blocking my vision, then I heard loud footsteps followed by voices.

“Get up weirdo, fix that rats nest!” The boy pushed me off my bed and, I felt my body ache as I hit the ground. The boys walked off laughing, that's when I heard footsteps and a gentle voice said.

“Frisk are you ok? Honestly Frisk, why do you let them pick on you?” I looked up and saw Sarah smiling down at me, she had long brown hair. Sarah was the only one who was nice to me. She arrived at the orphanage when I did, and we have become like siblings ever since. I grabbed her hand and brushed my hair out of my eyes seeing her more clearly.

“I don’t really have a choice their bigger than me.” I replied.

“So would you like to go up to Mount Ebbot today Sarah? Come on I know you want to go exploring like I do”

“What! Frisk! You know anyone who goes there never returns!” She replied scared.

“I’m aware of that, were not going to cross the tape. Come on Sarah im not an idiot. Were just going to look at it from afar, come on what do you say?” She looked up at me and said.

“Fine lets go.” I put on my favorite striped shirt, my only shirt I owned. The orphanage was right next to the mountain, me and Sarah climbed up the mountain then we reached the yellow tape. Just ahead was where the monsters where trapped.

Suddenly I felt myself falling forwards, hands had pushed hard into my back. I turned around and saw the boy who bullied me. He was smiling, I saw Sarah with her hands clasped over her mouth with a look of fear etched across her face. My foot caught on a vine, then my body felt weightless as I fell into the bottomless pit. The last thing I heard was Sarah shouting. "FRISK!" I fell into the never ending darkness, falling, falling then I blacked out. When I awoke I found myself laying on golden flowers. In the distance was a entrance of some sorts, vines and crumbling pillars surrounded me.

“I guess the flowers broke my fall.” I got up decided to walk forwards and picked up a stick for protection. I walked through the entryway, clutching to my stick. The next room was dark, and the center of the room had more golden flowers. I felt my body shake from fear not knowing what could be lurking in the dark. I moved forward carefully when suddenly a flower popped up from the field of flowers, I jumped back in fear.

“Howdy I’m flowey flowey the flower.” a friendly voice said, I stared at the flower and realized it had a face. Also it was smiling at me. I approached Flowey sitting on the ground in front of him. I had just met a monster but, he wasn’t anything like the stories we were told. In fact he was the complete opposite Flowey was kind and friendly.

“Hi im Frisk.” I replied.

“Golly you must be new to the underground, someone outa teach you how things work around here. Whelp guess little old me will have to do ready.”

Suddenly I saw a red heart glowing on my chest.

“See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being! Your SOUL starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain lots of LV. What’s LV stand for? Why LOVE of course! You want some LOVE, don’t you? Don’t worry I’ll share some with you! Five spinning pellet’s appeared around Flowey

“Down here LOVE is shared through...little white..“friendliness pellet’s” Are you ready? Move around catch as many as you can.

I smiled and reached my hands out ready to grasp the pellet’s. I barley touched one when I felt my whole body go cold, as blood fell from my face. I slumped onto the ground looking at Flowey, his expression had changed from a nice smile to an evil one.

“YOU IDIOT IN THIS WORLD IT’S KILL OR BE KILLED!”

Dozens of pellet’s surrounded me, and I heard Flowey’s evil laughter fill the room, everyone was right monsters are evil. I was stupid enough to believe they where nice. I closed my eyes preparing for the worst, as I felt the pellet’s grew closer to my SOUL. I’m going to die down here and nobody will remember me.

Suddenly just before the pellet’s killed me, a fireball comes out of nowhere, and knocks Flowey away. My eyes where still half shut but I saw a large goat like creature approaching me. Suddenly I felt my wounds healing and my SOUL was glowing brightly again.

“What a terrible creature, torturing such a poor, innocent youth. Ah, do not be afraid, my child. I am TORIEL, caretaker of the Ruins. I pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first human to come here in a long time. Come! I will guide you through the catacombs." Toriel was different from Flowey the way she spoke was kind and gentle. She grasped my hand with tenderness as we walked through the entrance to the ruins.
