Prologue
word Count: 888
Christians called it the Second Coming of Christ. Islam eschatology referred to to as the Day of Judgement. A day of reckoning that would change the state of the Earth forever.
This significant, history altering, world-defining event occurred in a manner so ephemeral that a Moment of Cataclysm would suit it more than a ‘day’.
It was a day in which the ‘who’ and ‘why’ of the Earth’s creation were simultaneously answered. An ethereal being - God of classical theism or not - bestowed divine wisdom on all populations of the Earth. At once, the revelation of this transcendent life form that created the world from sheer will, it caused knees to buckle in its tremendous consequence.
A unanimous sense of acceptance swept across the scientific community in an instant; it was too rapid and intangible for any normal person to fathom - like a spout of hot breath after physical exertion.
In fact, as the voice rang out, many were sent into a state of unconscious being - an out-of-body experience embodying the beginnings of the extreme guilt that would plague the entire world. A taste, just the tip of an iceberg, of the utter turnaround that would happen in every single life.
The day itself was irrelevant because it reset time. The era of anno domini had ended and thus began the time elapsed after the Creator was revealed. From then on, it was a second chance.
No saints rising to take people to heaven. No angels descending to interrogate believers. Just one person revealing themselves as a selfless, merciful Creator to issue future guidance for its creation to follow its will. Just one person unsatisfied with the natural order of creation disobeying its creator; by rule breeding disorder and unruly behaviour.
On the day itself it was raining; when God revealed himself, the rain did not let up. Unbelievably, a worldwide downpour happened and continued for forty days in many instances.
This monumental event was marked by the establishment of one hundred and ninety-five enormous nixie tube structures (one for every country). There was no realm of possibility with attributing this to human capability considering its size and complexity - another reason to conform to suddenly proven existence of God.
Beneath each one, on the day, was a transcript in each respective language.
As creator, I alone set the standard for perfection. This is 000.
As humans, you are unable to reach this, so I set the expectation at 111.
From the time I reveal myself, I set humanity at 111 which is a number that will certainly increase.
The only responsibility of your new life is to bring it back to 111, after which I will sustain forever.
Be forewarned, the world is judged as 192 separate groups.
And each city must annually check their country’s divergence from the location decided for the meter that year - at mine own discretion.
Be it what it may, God was no longer a choice of belief. Belief involved an aspect of doubt that needed to be overcome. Belief meant utter confidence in an existence without concrete proof. But after that day. God was no longer an abstract idea. He was no longer an incomprehensible figure plucked from the human psyche and injected into tradition and culture.
The Creator existed. The Creator said only two clear words before revealing their text: ‘I’m bored.’
No religion predicted this.
Science predicted another mass extinction. They predicted the trends in climate change. They predicted the continuing expansion of the Earth. However, until that day they could never admit the link to all their theories on the origins of the Earth.
There was in fact an intelligent creator that set the conditions for human life and put the Big Bang and evolution in motion. Whatever gaps in knowledge seem to be able to be filled by the simple idea that it was made by God - for an instant that was enough.
Such a serene atmosphere of peace fell over the Earth that there were no thoughts in mind for several seconds. A silence floated in the air as brains digested the news. Albeit more spiritual minds arrived at the correct conclusion faster, however soon all people were at a wavelength of understanding.
After which there was a process. This involved deciphering the transcript and ultimately doubt. Doubt gave way to a rise in divergence which has been predicted from the omniscient orchestrator of the debacle - this debacle being life.
Over time this number was revealed to be an average of the individual triple digits that each person had the capability of producing determined by a cymatic scan that took into account several biological factors and their internal hue.
The number itself was rumoured to be a measure of three specific components, never officially revealed to the public. Each country was united yet completely alone in its mission; migration was at an all time low - virtually non-existent.
Nevertheless, the most alarming prospect lay the last cause of the instruction, encouraging all to diligently apply.
A divergence beyond 666 will result in the purge and sanctification of a population.
A perfect divergence of 111 will result in the salvation of said population.
It had begun before it had started; the world was lost in the mazes of its destiny.
