Prologue
“No! Please no more Axel,” the girl screamed.
The man Axel slowly made his way towards the girl. “Now princess you know I can’t do that.”
What he said didn’t make her feel any better but she continued to fight with him even knowing the consequences that would follow if she made him mad.
“Please Axel. What do you want from me? I want to go home, please let me go,” the girl pleaded.
“Princess, what I want from you is your love. I love you very much. That’s why I keep you here and make love to you so you can bear my children.”
The girl stopped moving. She knew that he wanted children, but what he didn’t know was that once the baby is conceived it would be born the next day. She had already given birth 2 times but one didn’t make it and the other was snuck out by the maid that gave her food. She also wanted the maid to make a burial for her stillborn son.
She was so in thought that she didn’t see the slap that came her way until it was too late.
“I was talking to you, you bitch. Next time I won’t be so forgiving. I will be back in the morning since it will be our 10 year anniversary,” with that he walked out.
As soon as he was gone the maid came in with meatloaf.
“Aida, I can’t do this anymore. I need you to do something for me, please!” she pleaded.
“What can I do for you Lisa? I want you to get out of here,” Aida replied.
Lisa took a deep breath, “ I want you to get me a knife for the kitchens.”
Aida was about to protest but stopped when she saw the look on her dearest friends face. She nodded and did what she was told.
Not even a minute later she came back with a small paring knife. Aida gave it to Lisa and stepped back.
“Aida I don’t want you to be here for this, if you are here Axel will punish you.”
“I won’t leave you. I will be here with every step.”
Lisa gave the maid a watery smile and nodded. She took a deep breath and then slit both her wrist very deeply to make the blood rush out faster. She watched the blood getting mesmerized by it. Soon black spots appeared before her eyes and collapsed. She last thought was of her daughter, her Peace Lily. And then she was gone.
