What Are We Doing?
“Darbie!” Venus yelled.
“Darbie you blond bitch we’re gonna be late!” “Coming, no need to scream lady” said Darbie. Darbie had white skin, long, straight, creamy blond hair, a pointed nose and blue eyes. She had a beauty mark on the left side of her chin. She also was a bit of a rocker which meant she had a lot of heavy ear piercings and black eyeshadow.
Venus was the complete opposite. She was black, had shoulder length dark caramel hair, brown eyes and loved glitter. While walking down the hall Venus asked “How many shots of espresso did you take?” “Oh, just two.” Venus faced Darbie. “Then what were you just drinking?” “Tequila” Darbie replied quickly. Venus snorted. “What a logical decision. Tequila before an interview.” “Drinking tequila will help me, I mean us, get the job. One, it’ll help me calm down. Two, uh, it’ll make me look cool?” Darbie chuckled.
“Who ever thought we’d turn to the mafia for a job, eh Venus.” “Well the world can be a bitch Darbie and we only have so many options.” Venus remarked. The women had arrived to a big oak door. It had a highly polished knob and a sign in the middle saying “Vera Hoxha.” “It’s show time” Venus whispered. The two entered the cold room. It had deep blue walls with a black leather sofa and zebra skin carpet.
There was a white marble fireplace with trophies and pictures on top. The room had a huge chandelier. Across the room was black desk with cups of tea on top. The walls there had pictures of a woman and some certificates. There was a woman with short brown hair starring at them. “Ms. Venus Briar and Ms. Darbie Oscartine please sit” she said sharply. They quickly sat down not wanting to annoy the woman.
“H-hello Mrs. H-ho-ex-h-” Darbie said. “Stop!” She said. Venus and Darbie were startled. “It’s spelt H-O-X-H-A but said ‘Hoja’, I’m from the Balkans.” She smiled. She put her arm out for Darbie and Venus to shake. They both shook her hand. As they sat down they noticed some finer details, like she had hazel eyes and thick lashes. She was actually really pretty. But her looks were deceiving.
