The Meeting
As Sarah Jones walk to her apartment on the upper east side of Manhattan she felt like she was being watched. She look up and down the street but saw no one. The roads were somewhat deserted it was 1am after all. She saw some people eating at a all night diner looking at her through the window.
Yes people were staring at her but Sarah had a gut feeling someone else was watching her on the street. She was so busy with her thoughts she walk into the road forgetting to look both ways before she cross the street. Out of nowhere a hand grab her and pull her to them.
She suddenly felt a wall of muscles. A car screech to a halt and the driver comes out the car.
"Are you hurt?"
"No I'm fine I'm sorry it was my fault I didn't look where I was going".
"Next time be more careful its a miracle you're still standing here. I thought for sure you were a goner". The driver get back in his car and drives off.
"Thank you for saving my life".
Sarah's head was resting on the stranger's chest. She raise her head and stare at him eager to see what her mysterious saviour look like. The man as breathtakingly handsome. He was about 6'2 inches tall and maybe about 180-200 pounds. Sarah knew he was all muscles because she felt it through his shirt.
She takes in his features both the black hair and his green eyes then bites her lip. He had a cute nose and gorgeous lips and stubble something she never liked on a man till now. If Sarah had a guy she pictured as her forever guy with perfect looks this was him.
He smiles at her showing her his dimples she had a thing for guys with dimples. She involuntarily moans then without thinking about what she was doing kisses him.
Sarah put a hand to her mouth in shock at her boldness. She had kissed a stranger wait didn't he kiss her back.
"I'm so sorry I don't know why I did that. Thank you again for saving my life".
"Warren, my name is Warren if you're going to be so bold and kiss me you should at least know my name".
"Thanks again Warren I'm sorry I have to go, I've work in the morning".
As she turns to leave he calls out, "Can I at least get a phone number". Sarah stops in her track and turn back around.
"You did save my life Warren I guess I can break my rules".
Sarah gives him her mobile number and he rings it. She turns off her phone when it starts to ring and he saw for himself she gave him her actual number and not a fake one.
"Why don't we meet up and have coffee sometime".
"I would love that I'll text you and let you know when I'm free. I really must get going".
When Sarah arrive home she heads for the shower. She was soaping herself up when she realised one she was almost killed. Two she kissed a stranger three she met a bloke and four she had his phone number.
Sarah was twenty-five years old with a degree in Accounting. She was working at one of the best accounting firms in the world. She finishes her shower and wrap a towel around herself. She walks to the mirror and look at her long light brown hair and her light brown eyes.
She was a mixture of Jamaican and Puerto Rican which meant she was naturally tan . People who didn't know her have come up to her in the past and complement her on her great tan. Only to feel embarrassed when she said it's not a tan.
She had breast she thought that was just right not too big or too small. Sarah was happy with her 32D breast and her flat stomach and ok looking hips. Or as her mother called them good child raring hips. At a dress size 3 Sarah often wondered how her boobs were so big. She put her pyjamas on and head for her very comfortable bed.
The next morning Sarah get up and brush her teeth then have a shower. She decides to wear a pale blue skirt and a pussy bow white top. She put her hair up in a sleek up-do and make herself some toast for breakfast. She arrives at her workplace with ten minutes to spare.
She works at Thompson Inc as an accountant. Her job was to do whatever the senior accountants needed her to do. She was a junior level employee and the pay was really good. Sarah loved that the company have a great reputation in the business world. And was regularly voted in the top five for customer service and employees satisfaction in the country.
Sarah was sat at her desk when her manager comes over to her, "Ah Ms Jones I'm sorry to lose you. You have been a wonderful employee one of the best I've ever had. I've had two years of exemplary work from you".
Sarah feels tears start to form, "Oh god I've been fired and you're letting me know so publicly".
She looks around the room and realised apart from her manager and one other person the room was weirdly empty.
"No, no you're not being fired I would not disgrace you like that", says Simeon her manager. He smiles at her, "My apologies for scaring you. I've good news you've been promoted to the 24th floor. You will be working for Mr Thompson himself congratulations my dear".
Suddenly the room was full of Sarah's work colleagues. They all clap and offer her their congratulations. Simeon places a bouquet of flowers in her hands. She notices the sunflowers in the bouquet they were her favourite flowers. A large cake with congratulations written on it was place on her desk.
Sarah saw her colleagues placing paper plates and forks next to the cake. She thanks them and cut the cake into slices with the knife she was given. Then takes a small bite of it to her surprise it was her favourite flavour lemon with buttercream.
Everyone stood around talking and eating cake for a while. When it was time for Sarah to leave she hugs everyone and pack up her desk. Then head upstairs to see her new boss.
Simeon went with her carrying some of her stuff for her. Her bestfriend Beth Brown, a tall African American woman was clutching the balloons Sarah was given and her laptop. When Sarah arrive on her new floor she was surprise to see she had a corner office with great views over Manhattan and the Hudson River.
Her new boss was nowhere in sight. She was told he as in a meeting by the receptionist for the floor.
Sarah put her box down on her desk and collects her stuff from both Beth and Simeon. She thanks them for their help then place her things in her new desk. She looked around her to see floor to ceiling windows. There was a large leather chair complementing a large mahogany desk. There was an iMac on her desk already. Realising she won't need the laptop she put it on one of the shelf of the large bookcase behind her.
Once her stuff was where she wanted it to be Sarah sits at her desk. Sarah notices two door attach to her office. She get up and goes through the first one. It was a beautiful marble bathroom that wouldn't look out of place in homes and gardens.
The second door was a kitchenette with an Nespresso machine. Sarah looks through the cupboards till she found a cup. Then makes herself a coffee which she takes back to her desk. Since she didn't have any work to do yet Sarah walk out her office and familiarises herself with the 24th floor.
There was a large and a small conference room and a staff kitchen. Sarah knew the building had a restaurant for the staff but she wasn't aware this floor had a kitchen too.
When she familiarise herself with her new floor Sarah went back to her desk. She found herself thinking about Warren and the kiss they shared. She wasn't ashamed to say she enjoyed it and definitely wanted to see him again. She had never been kissed like that before there was so much passion there too. Sarah knew she wasn't very experienced when it came to men she was still a virgin after all.
She was bought up to only give herself to her husband. Unfortunately boyfriends once they knew they weren't going to get nookie dumped her. She really didn't mind being dumped. It empowered her because she knew she was doing the right thing waiting. It almost became her personal cause.
At noon there was a knock on Sarah's office door. She look up from her computer to see Warren from the night before staring at her smiling broadly.
"Well I hope you had a good nights rest".
