Heartbreaking, Jake.
"This is probably one of the most well written depictions of depression and suicidal ideations that I have read. It is so hard for those who are reaching out, engaging, hoping to pull that someone out of their depths; with a result that only feels like failure. People struggling with deep depression do appreciate the efforts, they just have nothing left internally. I didn't love reading this, because it hits so close to home.... But the writing is superbly done, Danny. Thank you so much for sharing your work."
A profound read
"From beginning to end, I was invested in Jakes's story. I loved how we got to see his interactions with the various individuals in his life and how they contributed to his own thoughts. Generally, I loved the plot of the story. I was just a little disappointed by the ending. Like I said, I was very much invested in Jake's story and was hoping for the best. But I guess sometimes that's how life is. Things aren't always chirpy. If you have more stories, I hope you keep writing. This is really good."

"The plot is simple yet unique not like other stories. I love how the characters interacted with each other. Especially the son and mother. It was different from the other relationships I've read in other books. The author does a great job at giving each character a unique voice and there are lessons to be learnt. Overall it's a great book especially for four chapters."

"It's a story many people can relate to ; the pain of feeling alone; the deary life and in midst of it all...rays of hopes which keep on filtering in. It's a well written, straightforward narrative that has potential to be turned into a full fledged novel. I would definitely recommend it. It's thought provoking. "
