Chapter 1

She swung quickly into the deserted alley, landing on the ground. It was perfect timing too- she was detransforming. God, why did she linger around so long?

Pink flashes of light lit up the alley as the superheroine reverted back into her civilian self.

The teen girl opened her purse and gave the mystical creature beside her a small pastry.

“You did good Marinette.” Tikki, her kwami said nibbling on a macaron.

Marinette smiled. “Thanks, Tikki.”

Marinette looked up at the sky and sighed. “I think it’s going to rain.”

Tikki nodded in agreement, chewing. As if to verify her statement, above in the clouds lightning flashed brightly while thunder rumbled.

What Marinette didn’t notice was that there was another flash. A smaller white one. The kind of flash a camera gives off when it’s done recording. Sneakers ran away in the distance.

Marinette looked out the alley checking, when she was satisfied she motioned to Tikki to get in her purse and she ran off into the direction of the school.

Oh man, she was going to be so late. Craaaap.
