Page Turning Intensity

"This story is really good! It's characters like Lizzy, Leyla, and Connor that are relatable, smart, and complex that keep the novel going. These characters all have their perks and flaws that cause the reader to sympathize with them. As such, when suspense arrives into the novel's plot, the reader can't help but keep reading wanting to know what's going to happen next! The twists and turns within the novel with very surprising and they made me keep on the edge of my seat. Trust me, if you read this novel, you'll have to get to the end before you're able to put it down."

Incredibly intense!

"I have to say, the prologue alone made my skin crawl! Now that that's out of the way, there's a clear understanding of people's emotions, made colourfully complex in the relationship between Connor and Leyla, that Travis has grasped perfectly in his writing style. It's written in the third person but you can just feel, almost all the time, as though it's still through Connor's eyes, with his vantage point on the rest of the world around him. Even the mannerisms of the narrator seem more Connor-ish. I rather enjoyed how the prologue was a glimpse into the future, compared to the first chapter. It gives you that feeling that this is what's coming up, and you don't necessarily like it, but you just have to keep reading to connect the dots! I've only gone a few chapters in now, but I know I'm enticed enough that I'll be finishing this novel. Even from where I am, I can highly recommend it to anyone who likes something that's clever, edge-of-your-seat intense and compelling you back for more."

A Smart Tale That Keeps You Guessing

"I am a fan of smart books with smart characters, and that is exactly what you get with "Find The Lady." Complete with a creative timeline that keeps the story fresh while maintaining an air of mystery until the big reveal at the end, this story keeps readers guessing throughout. "Find The Lady" impresses with its character development (I particularly love the Humphrey Bogart style of Connor, the main character), its mysterious and ever-evolving plot, and the creative ways in which Connor problem-solves his way through the challenges he comes up against. I enjoyed this story immensely, and highly recommend it. Well done!"

Great

"Admittedly I will say that the ending was both infuriating and artful. Yet this is what makes the book so good. The characters were masterfully developed and the plot made the reader seek out a happy ending. With all its twists and turns and gut wrenching emotional trauma this is a fantastic read."

Amazing

"This story was gripping and very professionally written. With lots of twists and slight of hand tricks, the author deceives the reader until finally showing their cards at the end. With several subplots all intertwining to create the main plot, this really is an interesting and engaging read. "

Worth the read!

"I loved Find the Lady! This story will keep you guessing about exactly what is going on and give you a dose of the heebie-jeebies too! I found the characters complex and enjoyable. I especially loved Lizzie's intensity and that she helps Connor out of his jam. I expect you won't see the twist until it smacks you in the face. I also loved how all the details came together in the end, It was pretty masterful. I highly recommend this story and I hope you let Connor Donnelly con you into a good read!"

Gripping, fast-paced story with a surprising ending

"I love being tricked by conman and detective stories, be it in movies or books. I love a reveal at the end that feels so effortless, yet so surprising. I also love heart-stopping suspense; you know the kind where you just want to scream, 'RUN!' at the pages of your book, because you've completely forgotten that you are not standing right beside the character in danger? Yes, that kind of suspense. This book has these qualities in spades - haha, spades - which, given the number of poor conman stories I've come across, seems to be quite difficult to do. I also found the structure of this book really interesting. The author really did a great job of making the reading of this book feel like a game of Three Card Monty. I have never read anything quite like it. I appreciated that the main character remains likable and relatable (to some extent, obviously). I really enjoyed the characters of Leyla and Lizzie. It is so nice to read a novel like this where the female characters get to do more than be rescued by the male characters or just be their assistants. This was definitely one of those books that I just couldn't stop reading until I reached the end."

Edge of your Seat World!

"Good plot that moves fairly quickly. Time passage somewhat vague. but not indecipherable. Very good syntax, grammar and punctuation. The story flowed very well, however, the breaks between chapters and the time jumps tended to be slightly confusing at first. I could see where the author was going with the idea, but it seemed "gimmicky" and from my experience and advice from Pub. Agents, gimmicks are not a good idea until you are an well established author. The story was exceedingly unique and the part of bugs did indeed cause gooseflesh and I almost had to stop reading it, it was so well described. Travis has an excellent style that rivals even King's style. I look forward to reading more from him."
