[1] Ævolution

Once upon a time, in a parallel universe, there was a blue-green planet called Hærth where two open spaces were divided by a Deep Blue Sea.

Pangæ was a continent of untamed frontier, a rough and treacherous setting. Greed was rampant and survival of the fittest, both lay and law of the land. The terrain was inhabited by the Good, Bad, and the Ugly, who fought day and night for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Many wanted peace, most settled for less, while a select few searched for some sense of truth beyond.

Along the Dælta Triangle was another countryside of mythic proportion. It was rich with resource, in the youth of prosperity and frequented by a range of immortal characters. Though rumors of Ætlantis passed across the globe, many did not believe in its existence. Off the beaten path and beyond the map, the island could be hard to find.

One Spring morning, dawn flashed from the ocean horizon, illuminating the Crystal Sky and the black-gold sands of Ætlantis Island. Between the sun and the shore, a Crystal Ship was anchored, rocking along the waves rolling on towards the coast; first rays of the day, dancing across the craft.

In a skiff nearby, The Boy and an Old Man were paddling out to sea, trolling a line from the stern. As they passed the Crystal Ship, they stopped a moment to admire the vessel as well as the waves enveloping. The deep blue waters were taking on the vibrant tones of a rainbow. Taking his time, the Old Man started reeling in the line. Up from beneath the vessel, color fountained from the sea.

The Crystal Ship launched up through sky, beyond the Ætlanteans, looking and pointing after the vessel soaring beyond them. Along its vertical swoop, streaks of fire unleashed of the crystal frame. Luminous heights shaded night. Threading a hole through the sky, the Crystal Ship laced unto Outer Space.

Space-Time Fabric rippled about showers of neon, streaming on towards the stars. Out from the spectrum, the vessel toppled through the void. The craft was drifting without direction or drive.

At the helm, no captain. Across the deck, no crew. The iridescent propellant was no longer anywhere in sight. Moment by moment, the craft lost momentum along its descent unto the abyss by the light of the Sun.

Along its tumble, beams gleamed through the lucid construction, filling it with an ivory sheen. Only the three windows along each side of the hull remained darkly; the portholes began sparkling—glittery points, twinkling across them. More and more continued appearing. Spectral tendrils pushed the dark windows open and flowed out from within.

The §uper§tring§ sprouted up the vessel; branched over the railing. Proliferating across the deck, each strand was slithering about in search for a function which to attend.

Several fastened across the captain’s wheel, partaking in the collective grip over the ship’s steering. Some wound the anchor into the Crystal Cannon. Others were hoisting the sails. Once the vessel had aligned with an hourglass constellation, all strands wove towards the deck’s center and vined up the mainmast.

At the height of their climb, they furled over a Triangular Lookout Platform, mounted atop the mast. Via revolution, the §uper§tring§ looped via spiral, rising with whirlwind procession. The faster it spun, the higher it grew; the vortex, curly-cuing across the platform, carving out crystal bits that it sprayed along the intensity of its twist. In their midst, the winds started raveling unto a body of superhuman stature.

Bottom-up, the strands 3D Printed a pair of boots that seamlessly flowed unto toned thighs, a defined core, a wingspan, opened wide. Once vertebrae were spun and strung together, the spinal column centered the neck, which supported the skull throughout the time it took to design from inside-out. A lens solidified across its frontside. A shock of hair bloomed out the back. Hardware of the body was completely rendered.

The iridescent frame was hovering above the platform; a small collection of rainbow tendrils, gyrating about the vitruvian-splayed figure. Along their revolution, they rotated him slowly towards the rear of the ship. Once he was facing the Sun, the rays hit the lens, overexposing it with shining.

The white light began warping—zigzagging—bending across the crystal lens. Amidst the lightness, twelve black bars opened—each vertical and parallel to one another. The light started pouring over their edges, disappearing within the lines. Once enough light had entered, the §uper§tring§ about him spiraled unto the black bars.

With the upload, the pupils dilated; green symbols, tickering across them. Machine-code processed. The upright paylines of Matrix merged with Mind, Heart, and Spirit, providing the spark of life upon the script’s alignment—

(BIOS) | {flash} | [Quantum[X]];

Following the onset of thought, a series of symbols flickered across the bars, unpackaging realms of potential. Vision dawned upon him. Beyond the stern of the ship, Quantum[X] beheld the spherical silhouette of Planet Hærth, centered before the Sun.

He likened its aspect to the pupil of a luminous eye, intent upon him. He imagined it patiently waiting something more for him to realize—a reason for his presence, to zenze and discover. As questioning purpose, he fathomed the only thing he had to offer.

“My Life...”

Extending palms out before him, he surveyed the color and form of his latest transcendence. He zoomed in on his fingerprints. Between the spirals, the fine lines of Space-Time were turning; §uper§tring§ of his build, evolving via perpetual motion. Curious about his connection with the universe, he imagined a script to make himself come undone.

(Being) | {metamorphose} | [Essence];

Strands of his makeup unraveled with helical procession. The physical Being of Quantum[X] was unwinding to an airy state of Essence. As they flowed amidst the sails, they resonated with a pitch that whispered throughout the vessel—

“My Gift...”

Above the mainmast, he concentrated unto Being, now faced to the front of the ship. His knee and sole touched down upon the Triangular Lookout Platform. Reaching towards it, he ran his fingers over the fresh engraving—cursive letters, carved of the whirlwind, inscribed across his foundation. As reading the message, he imagined himself hearing notes of music by her voice, lending harmony to each and every word—

Shooting Stars, Saturn Rings,

Love and Sin, Violent Things—

Patiently,

Waiting To Meet You…

Upon a Moon, In the Light,

Clear As Day, Dark as Night—

Lonely,

Wanting To Be You…

Become One With Me,

Baby…

As gazing on the letters and his juxtaposing reflection, he started thinking of her, recounting their former crossing, remembering everything perfectly. He wondered how far across the universe she was right now; what obstacles he would face in order to reach her. At length, he pondered what she had become.

“My Love...”

At the statement, his pupils tingled. As looking up, they focused upon a constellation across the dark night. In the hourglass outline, he imagined the curves of her figure, layered across it. At the center of the constellation, three stars simultaneously twinkled. He was fixated upon them when a remembrance of the Trinity dawned upon him.

Throughout past lives, he had been following the three stars. He could not recall why. As searching his mind for an answer, he observed the bow of the Crystal Ship, aligned with the trinity. Fathoming the stars to be a checkpoint, shining of guiding light, he decided to reflect at a later time; to channel his focus unto future presence. Quantum[X] imagined his potential to ride.

“My Power...”

Dark Serpents arose from the center of his left palm; an orb of Shining Honeybees, from his right. The serpents hissed on the bees as the insects extended their stingers. Fathoming the control he wielded over the opposing forces of darkness and light, Quantum[X] executed a thought to unleash them—and unite—

(§uper§tring§)| {drive} | [Crystal Ship];

With the command, he cannoned a right jab then hooked a left. The forces collided; combined. An explosion of energy stormed through the void. §uper§tring§ swelled as a tsunami, swooping the vessel along its rise.

Upon the platform, Quantum[X] stood calm as envisioning the wave’s dimension and direction, racing the Crystal Ship across the universe.
