Little Bird (Incomplete)

Once upon a time, in a land far away, was a girl whose life was about to change forever.

We first find her in a dismal, dirty, dead end alleyway. She is huddled in the back between a large heap of forgotten trash, and an almost invisible doorway. She is whispering urgently to the thin, grotesque figure standing deep within the shadows. She quickly glanced up beseechingly, her eyes focusing on his almost luminous white hair, "Did you find it? Please, tell me you found it. It's the only one I'll be able to get for a long time." If you had been there, you would have had the distinct feeling the mysterious figure was internally laughing... maliciously, though nothing in his demeanor could have been interpreted that way. "Not yet, my dear, but I do have another job for you, little bird." He said evenly, the high-born diction directly contrasting his unfortunate profile. He pulled a small, green, leather-bound book from his sleeve. His spider like, gloved fingers pulled deftly at the thin leather cord binding the book, and splayed it in one hand as he flipped pages with one of the aforementioned fingers, halting only when he found his most recent note.

Squinting to read in the little bit of light trying valiantly to invade the recessed portal, "Your orders are as follow; go to The Whipping Boy and in the closet of the southmost room, is a small blue bag. Take this bag to Mr. Wesker on Darn Street and tell him Mr. K. asks for usual. Do this tonight, and be quiet about it. I'll meet you in the usual spot for payment, and maybe I'll have that potion for you. Now off with you Karma, I have shit to do." The young Karma had turned to leave before the door quietly snicked shut behind her.

"I'm 18, when is he going to stop calling me little bird?" Karma said quietly as she quickly left the alley, stuffing her hands deep in the pockets of her cloak and stroking the wand there for comfort.
